Role purpose

The Executive Head of Cluster Bandundu and Équateur is responsible for driving strategic growth and operational excellence across Sales, Marketing, Customer Experience, Network, Mobile Money, and People Management. This role requires a seasoned leader with a strong strategic mindset, proven execution capability, and deep knowledge of digital transformation within the telecommunications sector.

Key Accountabilities

1. Sales Leadership
• Develop and execute robust sales strategies, leveraging digital platforms to maximize reach and impact.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities by building strong client relationships and understanding local market dynamics.
2. Marketing Strategy
• Partner with the marketing team to design culturally relevant campaigns that strengthen brand visibility and preference.
• Guide product positioning and messaging using data-driven insights tailored to the region’s unique market environment.
3. Customer Experience
• Lead initiatives that elevate customer satisfaction and long-term loyalty, using digital tools to streamline the experience.
• Establish and oversee customer feedback mechanisms to ensure continuous improvement across service touchpoints.
4. Network Management
• Oversee network performance, optimization, and expansion to guarantee reliability, security, and availability.
• Collaborate with technology teams to adopt innovative network solutions and stay ahead of industry developments.


5. Mobile Money
• Drive strategic growth of mobile money services, ensuring strict compliance with regulatory standards.
• Expand the mobile money ecosystem through strategic partnerships in the rapidly evolving digital finance space.
6. People Management
• Build, inspire, and develop a high-performing team through effective recruitment, coaching, and talent development.
• Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and innovative work culture that supports business goals.
• Implement performance management frameworks to reinforce accountability and operational excellence.
7. Digital Acumen
• Demonstrate strong understanding of digital trends shaping the telecommunications industry.
• Leverage digital channels effectively across sales, marketing, and customer engagement initiatives.
• Champion digital transformation efforts to modernize operations and drive competitiveness.
• Contextual Awareness
• Stay informed about local and regional market trends, regulatory updates, and socio-economic developments affecting the business.
• Develop strategies that respect cultural nuances and address region-specific challenges.
• Align global corporate strategies to local realities through strong cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Telecommunications, or related field (MBA is an advantage).
• Minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role with substantial exposure to digital strategies.
• Proven success in digital transformation or digital-led growth within the banking or telecommunications sectors.
