At Vodafone, we’re not just shaping the future of connectivity for our customers – we’re shaping the future for everyone who joins our team. When you work with us, you’re part of a global mission to connect people, solve complex challenges, and create a sustainable and more inclusive world. If you want to grow your career whilst finding the perfect balance between work and life, Vodafone offers the opportunities to help you belong and make a real impact.

The Vodafone Business Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) team helps customers achieve their sustainability goals through technology, expert advice, partnerships, and improved carbon efficiency across our products and services. We support Vodafone’s wider commitments to purpose, sustainability, and achieving Net Zero.

The role will also support the continued evolution of our ESG strategy in response to customer needs, regulation, and industry developments.
An important area of focus will be the development of Product Lifecycle Assessments and the accurate measurement of how Vodafone’s products and services can help customers reduce their carbon footprint.

What you’ll do

• Support and advise Vodafone Business on a wide range of ESG topics
• Work cross-functionally to deliver actions that contribute to the ESG roadmap
• Support the delivery of Vodafone’s year-end annual report, including carbon enablement, managing external consultancy support, coordinating product inputs and stakeholders, and preparing high-quality presentations for senior leaders
• Track and coordinate actions required to support Vodafone Business customers with their sustainability requirements
• Manage customer requests and help shape responses that support product sustainability requirements and strategy
• Monitor evolving customer environmental and data requirements, taking account of regulatory and competitor developments
• Lead colleague engagement on ESG topics, working with the Vodafone Learning Organisation to support the design, development and delivery of ongoing sustainability training for the Product and Sales community
• Improve and maintain processes across marketing, bid, sales and product teams to respond effectively to customer ESG requirements
• Support the Vodafone Business ESG team in advancing the sustainability agenda, including Product Lifecycle Assessments and collaboration with product teams and local markets on decarbonisation goals

Who you are

  • Experience working across cross-functional teams or projects, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Experience working in a sustainability team or consultancy
  • Project and supplier management experience
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Experience working with external suppliers and customers
  • A bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly PowerPoint and Excel
  • Experience working in or with large, complex matrix organisations
