Job Description

Your day to day:

Deploy, maintain and improve infrastructure for Vodafone cloud based applications
Provide technical and app support for existing Vodafone cloud based applications
Offer DevOPS consulting in planning for new app improvements and/or future Vodafone applications

With these activities you will have a great impact on our business:

• Maintain AWS infrastructure
• Maintain AWS EKS kubernetes infrastructure and related microservice resources
• Manage microservice deployments
• Provide K8s and infrastructure technical support for app troubleshotting
• Collaborate closely with Dev teams to quickly resolve incidents and maintain application integrity and stability
• Evaluate current application infrastructure and provide performance and/or cost reduction improvements
• Deploy and configure cloud infrastructure and or microservice related configurations to achieve new application features
• Mentoring and educating Dev and DevOPS teams on best practices in infrastructure automation

With these skills you are a great candidate:

• AWS Infrastructure (EC2, EKS, Codecommit, KMS, Cloudwatch, etc)
• Scripting languages: Bash, Python
• Experience with CI/CD concepts and modern tooling (Git, Gitlab, Github, Jenkins, ArgoCD, FluxCD, etc)
• Experience with SQL Databases is a bonus (Oracle)
• Familiar with Microservices concepts and ways of working
• Experience with modern application monitoring tools (Instana, Prometheus & Grafana)
• Experience with Atlassian Jira and Confluence tools
• Experience with modern observability tools (Splunk, Dynatrace, DataDog, Instana)
• Experience in running applications inside cloud environments such as AWS
• Experience in running applications on Kubernetes infrastructure
• Experience in Agile software development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
• Good documentation and communication skills. (English)
• Degree in IT (any), 5 years of experience in Dev/DevOps environments or 7 years in enterprise IT


Must have technical/professional qualifications:
• Adapt in ITIL, SOX and security regulations
• 5+ years public cloud infrastructure skills.
• Experience with Web applications and Web hosting skills.
• Experience with DevOps concept in public cloud environment.
• Work experience using Agile principal’s infrastructure/cloud operations.
• Working experience in managing highly business critical environments.
