About this role

We are seeking a skilled and collaborative IoT Operations to join our team at VOIS. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in dynamic environments and are passionate about enhancing enterprise IoT services through automation, optimisation, and continuous improvement. You will be responsible for transitioning solutions into production, maintaining high service availability, and supporting software development teams to deliver robust and scalable solutions.

What you’ll do

  • Validate, test, and implement solutions from development to operational environments.
  • Operate and maintain high-availability services, develop automation scripts, and optimise existing processes.
  • Collaborate with software developers to enhance Vodafone’s IoT services for enterprise clients.
  • Implement changes and maintain software solutions, including documentation and configuration updates.
  • Contribute to planning and execution of production migrations and software modifications.
  • Utilise CI/CD pipelines and version control systems for deployments and updates.
  • Adapt and improve software solutions for performance and customer experience.
  • Manage incidents, problems, and service requests, including workarounds and change implementations.
  • Perform daily health checks and continuously improve monitoring processes.
  • Provide 2nd Line technical support for network applications and systems, including on-call availability.
  • Identify and implement automation and service improvement opportunities.
  • Define service level agreements and key performance indicators.
  • Share knowledge and support team development.
  • Revise technical specifications and implement hardware/software adaptations.
  • Conduct impact analysis and develop technical solutions to resolve incidents and improve customer experience.
  • Manage relationships with internal and external partners to ensure SLA compliance and service enhancements.

Who you are

  • Proficient in ITIL, DevOps, and Agile methodologies.
  • Strong operational knowledge with experience in debugging and troubleshooting on Linux servers.
  • Familiar with AWS cloud infrastructure.
  • Skilled in CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Basic understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, APIs, and Microservices.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, OracleDB, DWH).
  • Programming/scripting knowledge in Bash, Perl, Python, or Java.
  • Understanding of IP Networking, Telecom architecture, and protocols.
  • Knowledge of SecOps principles.
  • Experience in multinational environments.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Linux certification
  • AWS Cloud Practitioner certification
  • MongoDB/OracleDB certification
  • Experience with virtualisation systems (e.g., VMWare)
  • Experience in large-scale enterprise application management
