About this Role

We design, build and operate the digital and IT capabilities that power Vodafone’s next-generation products and services. We provide the engineering foundations, reusable platform capabilities, APIs, integrations and secure digital services that enable rapid, scalable delivery across customer journeys, propositions and markets.

Joining us means contributing to the platforms, engineering practices and technology capabilities that underpin Vodafone’s future growth. Our delivery teams work across product, engineering, architecture, network, security, operations and supplier partners to turn complex transformation outcomes into executable plans and controlled releases.

The Delivery Manager is responsible for managing delivery across integration, testing and migration activities required to enable the successful adoption of new platform capabilities, services and customer traffic into the strategic Digital & IT platform estate. The role provides day-to-day delivery leadership across multiple cross-functional teams, ensuring milestones, dependencies, risks, environments and readiness activities are actively managed through to production implementation.

The role is expected to manage complex delivery dependencies across Digital & IT, Core Network, product and third-party suppliers. It ensures that integration scope is understood, testing is planned and executed, migration activities are governed, and service readiness is achieved before cutover.

Working closely with Product Owners, Architects, Engineering Leads, QA Leads, Service Design, Operations, Network Teams and delivery partners, the Delivery Manager brings structure, pace and clarity to delivery, ensuring dependencies, risks and milestones are effectively managed from inception through to production readiness. The role translates strategic and delivery objectives into actionable plans, drives issue resolution, and supports leadership decision-making through clear reporting, governance and escalation.

Given the responsibilities outlined above, the role includes:

  • Tracking delivery of development workstreams across Digital & IT, Network and third-party domains.
  • Coordinating integration activities across platforms, products, partners, suppliers and technology domains.
  • Managing test planning and execution across SIT, Operational readiness and Deployment Verification Testing.
  • Driving migration planning, rehearsal, cutover, rollback and post-implementation readiness activities.
  • Maintaining integrated plans, RAID logs, milestone views, dependency trackers and governance reporting.

What you’ll do

  • Maintain integrated delivery plans for platform integration, testing and migration activities.
  • Coordinate cross-domain activities across Digital & IT, Core Network, OSS/BSS, product, engineering, operations and supplier teams.
  • Drive delivery of technical integrations, including connectivity dependencies, environments and test data requirements.
  • Manage program-level testing activity, including SIT, integration testing, E2E validation, operational readiness testing, defect triage and release readiness evidence.
  • Lead migration planning activities, including migration sequencing, rehearsals, cutover planning, rollback preparation, hyper care and post-implementation review.
  • Provide clear, concise and leadership-ready delivery reporting on progress, blockers, quality, readiness and key decisions.
  • Escalate delivery risks in a timely manner and drive recovery actions with accountable owners.
  • Ensure migration and release entry and exit criteria are understood, agreed and evidenced before key decision gates
  • Support supplier and partner delivery management, ensuring commitments are tracked and aligned to program outcomes.
  • Delivery Management - Ability to turn complex program outcomes into actionable plans, milestones and governed delivery execution.
  • Integration Delivery - Experience coordinating technical integrations across platforms, APIs, channels, network systems and third-party services.
  • Migration & Cutover Management – Experience of managing migrations, rehearsals, cutover, rollback and post-release stabilisation.
  • Dependency & Risk Management - Strong capability to identify/track cross-team dependencies, delivery risks and blockers, then drive practical resolution.
  • Governance & Reporting - Ability to maintain accurate plans, RAID logs, status reporting and decision materials for program governance.
  • Vendor Management
