About this Role

We are seeking a Data Management Risk Lead to drive the VOIS delivery capability supporting Vodafone Group’s strategic Data Management Risk programme. This role is responsible for translating enterprise data management and risk priorities into a scalable delivery model, governance framework, market adoption approach and measurable risk reduction outcomes across multiple markets and business entities.

Acting as the primary VOIS delivery interface to programme leadership, the role combines transformation leadership, data governance expertise, operating model design and stakeholder engagement. The successful candidate will lead specialist teams, influence a broad matrix of stakeholders and design reusable data management propositions, standards and controls that support compliance with Vodafone’s Data Management and Privacy Policy while enabling trusted data use across the organisation.

What you will do

  • Translate strategic priorities into integrated roadmaps, governance models, rollout plans and measurable risk reduction outcomes.
  • Design and define enterprise data management propositions, standards, controls and reusable delivery patterns for Vodafone teams, local markets, business units and partner-facing initiatives.
  • Establish and manage governance, planning, milestone tracking, dependency management, risk and issue management, reporting and delivery assurance processes.
  • Act as the primary delivery interface for senior programme leadership, providing executive-ready insights, recommendations and escalation of key decisions and risks.
  • Lead, coach and develop a team of data management and delivery specialists while coordinating wider matrix teams across markets, Group functions and partner organisations.
  • Drive adoption of data management controls, governance requirements, remediation activities, communications, training and evidence-based compliance practices.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and influence priorities, investment decisions and delivery outcomes.Improve delivery efficiency through standardisation, automation, reusable assets, playbooks and scalable service models.
  • Ensure programme outcomes are embedded into sustainable business-as-usual ways of working and support future data and AI initiatives.

Who you are

  • An experienced transformation and programme leader with a proven track record delivering large-scale data governance, risk, control or enterprise change programmes across multiple regions or business units.
  • Skilled in designing and implementing operating models, governance frameworks and adoption approaches within complex global organisations.
  • Recognised as a subject matter expert in data management and data governance, with the ability to translate policy requirements into practical controls, standards and delivery outcomes.
  • Comfortable operating in matrix environments and influencing senior stakeholders without relying solely on formal authority.
  • Experienced in leading specialist teams, developing capability, creating accountability and maintaining engagement across direct and matrix reporting structures.
  • Strong in risk management, delivery assurance, change management and executive communication.
  • Able to balance strategic thinking with disciplined execution while creating clarity in rapidly evolving environments.
  • Fluent in English with highly developed stakeholder management, presentation and reporting skills.
  • Focused on delivering measurable business value, efficiency improvements and sustainable organisational outcomes.
