Cloud Operations Team Leader will be part of the Cloud team, responsible for the operations of the Cloud Operations team and the cloud environments used to virtualize network functions in Vodafone’s core network. This includes managing current platforms and leading any transition toward new technologies to assure Vodafone Cloud efficiencies across markets.
The role requires leadership, administrative tech support, and coordination to assist the Cloud Operations department and Manager with documentation, data management, inventory, and communication across teams inside and outside Cloud Vertical.
What you’ll do
- Managing and supporting a mixed environment of VMware vSphere, VMware Tanzu, VMware NSX, RedHat OpenShift Container Platform (RHOCP).
- Implementing security policies and remediating vulnerabilities on platforms following best practices and company procedures.
- Discussing, evaluating, and organizing change management, fault management, and service request processes with design and delivery teams, ensuring alignment across markets.
- Team leadership, performance management, and resource planning.
- Incident, change, and problem management for multi-vendor cloud platforms including RHOCP.
- Life cycle management of diverse cloud infrastructure across markets.
- Technology vendor management and strategic vendor engagement.
- Relationship management with design teams, engineering teams, and internal customers across multiple markets.
Who you are
- Strong expertise in Cloud technologies: CAAS, PAAS, IAAS in VMware, Red Hat OpenShift (RHOCP).
- Deep understanding of Storage, SAN, Network architectures.
- Excellent communication skills for aligning stakeholders and facilitating multi-market collaboration and ability to drive adoption of new technologies and processes smoothly while managing change resistance.
- 3+ years of system/cloud administration with VMware or Red Hat Linux.
- Problem Solver.
- Strong aptitude for learning new technologies and methodologies.
- Ability to perform in stressing and emergency conditions.
- Project management and time management.
- Fluency in English.
