What you’ll do

Role Profile
The Business Manager - is a strategic right-hand role combining executive support, business management, and operational coordination for the Director/MD leading Vodacom's FTTH ISP initiative and FiberCo structuring. This role requires an exceptional individual who can seamlessly operate across strategic planning, stakeholder management, project coordination, and executive administration while maintaining the agility needed in a fast-paced startup environment within an established organization.
The role will be a strategic partner to the Director/MD, driving business initiatives, managing complex workstreams, and serving as the central coordination hub for FTTH operations spanning infrastructure deployment, systems implementation, go-to-market execution, and FiberCo corporate structuring.

Key Responsibilities
•Support the Director/MD in strategic planning, business case development, and preparing executive/board-level presentations.
•Coordinate cross-functional FTTH and FiberCo workstreams, ensuring alignment, milestone tracking, and issue resolution.
•Manage project plans, dashboards, and performance reporting for launch readiness and operational execution.
•Drive communication, documentation, and meeting management, including briefs, minutes, and follow ups.
•Support FiberCo shareholder engagement, governance setup, regulatory compliance, and investor documentation.

•Proficiency in MS Office/Google Workspace; project management tools are an added advantage.

Qualifications
•Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
•MBA or relevant Master's degree; CFA, CA, or professional business qualification or equivalent experience added advantage
•5+ years’ experience in strategy, PMO, management consulting, business operations, or executive support roles.
•Experience in telecom, digital infrastructure, technology, or startup environments is preferred.
•Demonstrated experience coordinating multi disciplinary projects or strategic initiatives.
•5-7 years of progressive business management, strategy consulting, or executive support experience
•Experience in telecommunications, technology, or infrastructure sectors
•Startup or high-growth business environment exposure
•Project management or management consulting background
•Prior executive assistant or chief of staff experience supporting C-level executives
