Role Purpose/Business Unit:

To drive successful penetration and growth of Vodacom’s fintech propositions across payments, lending, insurance, investments, and disbursements. The role focuses on identifying and developing new business opportunities, executing go-to-market strategies, and building strategic partnerships to deliver revenue and profitability targets. Works alongside Client Directors, Client Managers, and product teams to construct winning propositions and customer business cases for enterprise and consumer segments. Provides input into deal shaping and innovative business models to accelerate adoption of fintech solutions across Vodacom’s ecosystem.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Consultative Engagement: Work with relationship owners to provide thought leadership and define sales activity for demand generation and winning fintech propositions.
  • Pipeline Development: Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities aligned to Vodacom’s fintech plays.
  • Partnership Enablement: Support onboarding and management of banks, insurers, fintechs, and merchants to expand reach and profitability.
  • GTM Execution: Implement go-to-market plans for assigned segments in collaboration with EBU, CBU, and MPESA Africa.
  • Competitive Intelligence: Lead market research on fintech trends, competitor strategies, and regulatory developments; educate internal stakeholders to shape competitive solutions.
  • Commercial Support: Assist in pricing, bundling, and monetization strategies for consumer and enterprise markets.

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

  • Matric and a 3 year degree in Business Management, Bcom or Computer Science, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in cloud based Unified Communications applications and Enterprise cloud services, marketing and/or commercial operations.
  • Proven track record in pre-sales and solution development.
  • Proven track record of developing and effectively implementing sales solutions to meet the business and clients needs and driving business results.
  • Extensive and strong business acumen with a deep strategic perspective and ability to quickly understand business strategy
