About this Role

We are seeking an experienced Automation Support Test Specialist to join our Technology team in Pune. In this role, you will act as a subject matter expert for applications, validate incidents, and ensure timely resolution through collaboration with support and development teams. You will design and implement automation frameworks, perform regression testing, and maintain operational excellence through proactive analysis and documentation. This position requires strong technical expertise in automation tools, API testing, and cloud environments, along with a willingness to work in shifts.

What you’ll do

Act as the application SME to validate reported incidents and route them to appropriate support teams.Perform verification and validation activities for quick fixes, ensuring compliance with SLAs.Conduct rapid regression testing for hotfixes and collaborate closely with development teams during refinement sessions and UAT.Design and implement automation frameworks aligned with project structures.Create, enhance, debug, and execute automated test cases using tools such as Cucumber and Rest Assured.Organise and monitor defect management processes, handle changes, and conduct regression tests.Ensure version control and configuration management of all test objects and environments.Document, track, and escalate issues as required, while improving operational excellence through best practices.

Who you are

Minimum 4 years of experience as an automation tester.Hands-on expertise in Rest Assured, Cucumber, API automation, Postman, Jenkins, Java, and API testing.Experience with BPMN projects (Camunda or similar).Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS) and validation tools such as OTEL/Grafana or ELK/Loki.Strong understanding of ITIL framework and test automation strategies.Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret complex software requirements.Willingness to work in shifts, including night shifts.
Nice-to-have: Scripting skills (Bash, Python, Go), Unix familiarity, Selenium, Camunda, Kafka.
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Engineering.
