Job Description
nexfibre is a joint venture between Liberty Global/Telefonica and Infravia to deliver FTTH to up to 7 million homes within the UK through a £4.5bn investment programme.
The relationship between nexfibre and VMO2 is multifaceted. VMO2 Consumer are the anchor tenant for the venture and both VMO2 Consumer and VMO2 Business will be wholesale customers of nexfibre. In addition, VMO2 are providing an array of services to nexfibre including construction, aggregation, network services, IT services and shared corporate services. Because of this, the overall business case is complex and touches multiple different business units across VMO2.
The intent of the nexfibre internal governance structure is to have an end-to-end view of the relationship with nexfibre under one EC member to cut through internal cross contract topics, ensure consistency of planning, forecasting and reporting as well as providing a holistic view to optimise decision making.
Partnering with the nexfibre end-to-end leadership team, this role is responsible for the financial management of the services delivered under the nexfibre MSA agreement. This is a high-profile role which will be required to effectively operate through all levels of the organisation.
Working in conjunction with internal team members, the role will have the objective of ensuring that the services provided are managed and measured according to the agreed contractual commitments. The role will establish and lead on MSA financial governance with partner engagement across VMO2 and nexfibre at SLT level.

The must haves
In order to be considered, you must have the following experience;
- Qualified accountant – CIMA / ACA / ACCA
- Proven experience of managing a P&L
- Strong communication and influencing skills with partners at all levels
- Attention to detail, strong analytical skills and commercial foresight
- Ability to understand and solve complex problems with a strategic approach
- Self-motivated with the ability to work flexibly with conflicting demands so that work is scheduled to meet changing priorities and deadlines
The other stuff we are looking for
We'd also love you to bring;
To be part of the team responsible for the delivery of the MSA services. Responsible for all financial aspects of the nexfibre MSA across VMO2.
Lead financial reporting management in accordance with the Governance Model for the covering charges, liquidated damages, forecasting/budget, issues and disputes
Monthly forecasting of service volumes and associated fixed, scalable and pass-through charges
Optimise P&L performance by proactively identifying and managing risks and opportunities within the plan to ensure early corrective action is taken
Matrix management of personnel involved in the financial delivery of services that include all VMO2 technology, operational, commercial functions, delivery teams and key partners (finance, legal, CIO, CTO, NetEx)
