Business Manager to Chief People and Transformation Officer

Job Description
The purpose of this role is to enable the Chief People and Transformation Officer (CPTO) and the People Leadership Team (PTLT) to perform effectively. The role supports the CPTO in their capacity as a member of the Executive Committee of Virgin Media O2, the leader of the VMO2 People function, and a member of the wider Liberty Global and Telefonica’s People Leadership team.
The role will focus on a number of key deliverables but will include:-
- Sourcing inputs, data, and insights from internal partners accurately and promptly, ensuring quality control of documents from VMO2 PTLT members for consistency with the People Plan.
- Manage internal team workflows to meet the needs of the CPTO and the organisation. Regularly review budgets with PTLT members and Finance partners, ensuring shared accountability for budget management and spending priorities.
- Ensure coherent messaging from the CPTO, aligned with the VMO2 strategy.

The must haves
In order to be considered, you must have the following experience;
- Demonstrable influencing skills at all levels, including an ability to simplify and articulate complex ideas and strong presentation skills.
- Experience of managing the delivery of short-term priorities whilst identifying and planning for long-term opportunities.
- Proven business planning skills including the creation and ownership of plans as well as delivering of plan objectives.
- Experience of operating on a cross functional basis to build governance structures that maximise effectiveness, efficiency and delivery.

- Experience of creating and maintaining positive relationships.
- Proven track record to exercise judgement to make timely and sound decisions regarding highly complex and broad scope issues as they relate to both people and the business.
- Highly collaborative and adept at co-creating ideas and concepts with a wide team member group.
