Job Description
Our dedicated, ultrafast network delivers the fastest widely available broadband speeds in the UK and Ireland. As a Principal Network Specialist it's your job to maintain our network infrastructure and ensure that each of our residential and business customers can receive the phenomenal products and services that we've promised to deliver. This will include optimisation, fault resolution, and emergency restoration of service in a 24-hour environment!
As a Principal Specialist, you'll actively support the Network Operations Manager through technical excellence and team play – providing support in the planning and organising of the team and acting as an ambassador for your function! You'll also deputise for the Network Operations Manager as the need arises.
You'll pro-actively take a lead role in mentoring and empowering the network engineering team, providing support with the training and development of your colleagues.

The must haves
- Experience working with and in remote or field based direct customer environments
- Proven strong Excel skills
- A demonstrable understanding of how to effectively lead, mentor and motivate a team
- An in depth understanding of the HFC (Hybrid Fibre Coaxial) architecture
- A consistent track record of working with hand & power tools
- To have expert knowledge of digital TV and broadband principles
- The ability to demonstrate Health & safety requirements

- A broad knowledge of different functions within the business
- Experience in supporting, coaching and mentoring others
