Colleague Experience Specialist - 12 Month FTC
Job Description
Location: We welcome applications from those looking for hybrid working, based 2 days per week in our Handforth (Cheshire) Office.
About the Role
In this role, you’ll play a key part in shaping and delivering a joined-up colleague experience across engagement, wellbeing and inclusion. You’ll help create a consistent, relevant and impactful experience that supports colleagues across all areas of the business.
Working closely with the Colleague Experience, Wellbeing & Inclusion Manager and the wider People team, you’ll design, deliver and continuously improve initiatives that are insight-led, aligned to business priorities and reflective of the diverse needs of our colleagues. You’ll help bring our wellbeing and inclusion approach to life, embedding it into a broader colleague experience that feels visible, meaningful and accessible to everyone.
You’ll coordinate and deliver key programmes such as engagement surveys, listening activity and recognition campaigns, ensuring everything is well planned, clearly communicated and encourages strong colleague participation. Alongside this, you’ll build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business, working collaboratively to create a more inclusive and engaging culture.
You’ll also support the management of external partnerships and budgets, helping to ensure we deliver high-quality initiatives that make a real difference – creating an environment where colleagues feel valued, supported and able to be their best.
Key Responsibilities

- Ensure initiatives are aligned to business priorities and meet the needs of colleagues across all areas
- Use insight, feedback and best practice to continuously improve colleague experience activity
- Support and embed an inclusive culture where colleagues feel valued and have a sense of belonging
- Plan and deliver engaging communications that drive awareness and participation
- Develop and manage the colleague experience, wellbeing and inclusion calendar, bringing culture to life through key events and campaigns
- Lead the delivery of recognition activity, including long service milestones, events and ongoing programme improvements
- Create and manage engaging content across platforms such as SharePoint and Viva Engage
- Coordinate engagement surveys, pulse and lifecycle listening activity, including reporting and insights
- Manage listening forums and analyse feedback to inform continuous improvement
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders and work collaboratively across teams to deliver impactful activity
- Manage multiple programmes and priorities, ensuring activity is well-coordinated, visible and effectively delivered
About You
You bring experience of delivering initiatives within a colleague engagement, wellbeing or inclusion environment, with a strong understanding of what great colleague experience looks like in practice. You’re confident using data and feedback to shape and improve activity, always looking for ways to make a meaningful impact.
You’re a strong relationship builder, comfortable working with senior stakeholders as well as internal teams and external partners. You know how to influence and collaborate effectively, and you’re confident managing suppliers and navigating conversations to achieve the best outcomes.
Highly organised and proactive, you’re able to manage multiple projects and priorities at once without losing sight of the detail. You have strong project management capability and experience leading the delivery of events and initiatives from concept through to execution.
You’re also a confident communicator, with experience using tools such as SharePoint, Microsoft Office and design platforms like Canva, InDesign or Photoshop to create engaging content that brings initiatives to life.
Ideally, you may hold (or be working towards) a CIPD qualification or have equivalent experience within a People or HR environment. Additional knowledge or training in areas such as employee engagement, organisational development, wellbeing or inclusion would be a real advantage, as would experience with survey tools, communications planning or content creation. Most importantly, you bring passion, creativity and a genuine commitment to creating a positive and inclusive colleague experience.
