What you’ll be doing…

Verizon is looking for a dynamic and talented individual for managing and leading the SOE platform which will be a single automated cloud platform for multiple technology and product teams. SOE Cloud platform will enable autonomy and reduce time to market by enabling service catalog for developer to build infrastructure and deploy code and impose security at first by embedding security best practices and governance in Platform & PipelinesOne of the top goal is to have scalable and reliable workload and infrastructure management and deployment along with self recovery of infrastructure failures.

• Working closely with external teams to define release content and ensure growth of the platform to meet competitive demands.

• Improve CI/CD tools integration/operations, and full automation of CI/testing

• Develop, scale, and control strategies, standards, guidelines, governance of Continuous Integration systems

• Join the ongoing design, implementation, and preservation of systems and tools across the cloud stack

• Collaborate with product development and QA teams to help ensure end-to-end quality

• Write and maintain documentation infrastructure

• Troubleshoot issues along the CI/CD pipeline

• Work directly with Platform Engineering Team to fix IAC Template Issues

• Integrate DevSecOps Strategies into the existing CI/CD Pipeline

• Integrate Observability Strategies into the existing CI/CD Pipeline

• Hands-on experience with at least one of the following languages: Node.js, Python, PHP, Ruby, Android and Java CI/CD Build tools and Proficient with git and git workflows.

• Implementing automation tools and frameworks Microservice CI/CD deployment using helm charts in kubernetes Clusters

• Supporting customers with major platform issues and coordinating triage efforts to solve them.

• Documenting and maintaining architectural guidance to ensure the performance and scalability of the platform.

• Developing and setting the DevOps strategy in alignment with organizational goals.

• Efficient collaboration and coordination between software development and IT operations.

• Monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing performance of the applications and infrastructure.

• Ensuring system reliability and availability through robust backup and disaster recovery practices.

• Championing a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging and implementing feedback loops in development processes.

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that IT infrastructure aligns with the needs of software deployments and updates.

• Staying abreast of new trends and best practices in DevOps, and integrating new and innovative technologies into the organization.

What you will be doing...

You’ll need to have:

Working independently suits you well. You’re also thorough, vigilant, and on top of the details someone people count on to solve problems and to make sure they don’t happen in the first place.

• Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

• Working experience on SVN, GIT, Pipeline Orchestration and Jira tools

• Hands-on experience in installing, configuring, operating, and monitoring CI/CD pipeline tools

• Experience in excerpting metrics and results from CI/CD security tools

• Knowledge in installing, configuring, operating, and monitoring software security pipeline tools

• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms

• Strong understanding of network essentials and system administration exposure

• Strong Experience in Monitoring Configuration/Setup for applications/products

• Must have strong scripting experience.

• Hands-on experience with CI/CD orchestrator tools e.g., Jenkins, Maven, Ant, gradle or similar CI/CD build tool(s)

• Experience in building and managing CI/CD pipelines

• Experience with Helm

• Hands-on experience with MicroService CI/CD Deployment in Kubernetes Clusters EKS,GKE,AKS…

• Experience in Core AWS Services like EC2,VPC,S3,EKS,CLOUDWATCH,CLOUDTRAIL,KINESIS STREAMS,LAMBDA…etc

• A highly effective collaborator that thrives working with teams to solve complicated challenges.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment using a scaled agile workflow

• Take ownership of your tasks and champion efforts to drive solutions.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• AWS Solution Architect Associate Certification.

• Capable of multitasking and prioritizing in a fast-paced environment, effectively and efficiently.

• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

• Strong documentation skills.
