As the Associate Director of Retail Marketing Activation, you will lead a team that will own the end-to-end campaign management, integration, and activation of enterprise-wide marketing priorities for all Consumer, Business, and Brand Marketing strategies into all retail environments across our branded distribution. This scope includes prioritization and placement in all corporate stores, agent stores, and national retailers.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Building and leading strategic marketing initiatives aligned with Verizon Consumer Group retail sales goals, aimed at driving growth and revenue for all retail store formats.

  • Leading the team to develop comprehensive briefs based on the Integrated Marketing and Marketing Activation brief format.

  • Partnering and working with our own internal design and production teams to develop creative assets needed to promote and deliver on our upcoming marketing campaigns.

  • Driving the direction of the brief to include all required components and ensuring marketing and business commitments are satisfied.

  • Working closely with senior leadership to understand critical business and marketing priorities, inclusive of national campaigns, local market/segmentation, and Latino initiatives.

  • Leveraging historical performance and current sales priorities to develop strategies to support those priorities.

  • Managing incoming requests from Verizon Consumer Group, Verizon Business Group, Integrated Marketing, Retail Sales and Operations, and CMO Marketing Activation to develop strategic plans for placement, prioritization, and messaging for all retail environments.

  • Leading and managing the prioritization and placement of marketing initiatives, including digital playlists and printed marketing graphics across all retail formats.

What we’re looking for:

You'll need to have:​

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Eight or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated by one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.

  • Four or more years of experience supporting national retail stores in various functional areas.

  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

  • Are a successful and talented professional with experience leading a high-performing team.

  • Are a leader with exceptional marketing and management capabilities, and a strong understanding of Verizon retail stores.

  • Are a self-motivated individual with excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Proven record of trusted professional credibility and integrity.

  • Are a leader with the willingness to create, grow, and leverage partnerships across multiple organizations within Verizon, as well as retail sales and operations leadership in the markets.

  • Are proactive, a self-starter, and an independent thinker willing to clearly communicate their position within various organizational structures/levels.

  • Superior verbal and written communication skills with the willingness to communicate effectively at all levels of management, including frequent presentations/readouts to senior leadership.

  • Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking that results in new ideas and creative solutions that drive business productivity in retail.

  • Demonstrated willingness to produce high-quality deliverables with minimal oversight.

  • Willingness to overcome obstacles and create solutions to challenges or problems.

  • Proven record of managing multiple simultaneous projects on time with changing priorities, and managing tight deadlines to deliver high-profile initiatives.

  • Demonstrated willingness to work in a flexible, dynamic, and fast-paced environment managing highly complex cross-functional projects.

  • Strong proficiency in Google Suite and the creation of executive presentations.

  • Experience guiding others that do not report to you, with proven facilitation, change management, and problem-solving experience.

Where you’ll be working

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.
