Job Description

As a new Wind Technician, you prioritise Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality. Under the supervision of experienced Technicians (Mentor/Buddy agreement), you'll assist in maintaining and repairing offshore wind turbines and related assets. You and your colleagues ensure high availability and production.

You must complete both safety and technical training as outlined in the training matrix, including GWO Basic Safety Training and Technical Training. Technical training can be conducted locally at the site or with the turbine supplier. There may also be country-specific training requirements.

On-the-job training will be supervised by experienced colleagues and guided by the Vattenfall competence Logbook.

Key responsibilities:

  • Complete tasks in the Competence Logbook.
  • Learn about service and maintenance equipment and tools.
  • Perform service and maintenance under supervision.
  • Follow and learn from your Mentor or Buddy.
  • Receive basic training in Safe System of Work (SSoW).
  • Keep safety certificates valid, including GWO Standard Basic Training and Offshore Medical Certificate.
  • Maintain your own safety equipment and ensure it is ready for use.
  • Accurately record work details, hours, vacations, sickness, spare parts, and technical work orders.
  • Prioritize Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality, and meet development targets set during onboarding.
  • Work as an instructed person under International Electrical Safety Rules.

Qualifications

  • Profession as e.g., mechanic, electrician or similar
  • B.Sc. engineering
  • Fluent English language skills
  • Relevant work experience
  • Experience from the wind business or other power generation preferred
  • Good communication and cooperation skills
  • IT competent
