Job Description

Join our Quality Assurance team in an exciting role focused on delivering exceptional service across all of United Utilities (UU). This position involves managing UU’s electronic QA system on a daily basis, collaborating with operational teams, and providing both technical and administrative support to implement new, revised, and updated QA processes and drive business improvements.

While the primary emphasis will be on Water Treatment, Catchment, and Network procedures, the role will also contribute to the development of QA across UU.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Responsible for the day to day maintenance of UU’s electronic QA system, including the full range of QA documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures, site specific QA and documentation, etc. ensuring that this is available to the relevant teams within UU.
  • Producing a variety of standard and adhoc QA reports using Excel/ SharePoint, and interpreting data quality.
  • To develop and improve Water Network business processes and document current procedure. Identify risks, improvement opportunities and seek resolution with business leads.
  • Working with internal and external teams within UU to deliver new, revised and updated QA documentation, procedures and business improvement documentation, providing technical and administrative support to operational staff related to the maintenance and production of QA and business improvement documentation.
  • Operating within a small QA team with varying technical challenges, but no budget control or direct reports.
  • Assisting the Senior QA Analyst and QA Manager on all aspects of UU’s Quality Assurance system.
  • Communication with teams across UU.

What We're Looking For

  • You will have a solid understanding of relevant regulations and standards, along with a basic familiarity with ISO 9001 and 14001.
  • Proficiency in IT and written communication is essential, along with experience using SharePoint for document management and page creation.
  • Great communicator, able to influence people at all levels across the business.
  • You'll will have a methodical and accurate way of working, always keeping data integrity at the top of your priorities.
  • Experience in water treatment, network operations, process mapping, and facilitating process workshops is preferred.
