This hybrid role offers the flexibility of three days per week in the office, including a dedicated team day, alongside the opportunity to play a key part in supporting major projects that help deliver essential services across the North West.
Working within a supportive and experienced administrative team, you'll enjoy a varied role where no two days are the same. If you thrive in a detail-driven environment, enjoy solving problems, and like working with a wide range of colleagues, surveyors, consultants and stakeholders, this is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and make a real contribution.
The Role
As part of the Access and Acquisition team, you'll help secure the land access required to deliver major infrastructure and investment projects across the North West. Supporting activities that range from statutory notices and payment administration to data management and stakeholder coordination, you'll play a key role in keeping projects moving and ensuring critical processes run smoothly.
You'll manage a varied workload, handling team enquiries, coordinating information, preparing documentation and maintaining accurate records. Working closely with surveyors, internal stakeholders and external consultants, you'll analyse and present data, support decision-making, and ensure every detail is managed efficiently and compliantly.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in producing high-quality work, and thrives in a role where organisation, problem-solving and collaboration are key to success.
What You'll Be Doing
- Providing comprehensive administrative support across the Access and Acquisition team, managing the team mailbox, reviewing incoming requests and ensuring they are processed effectively
- Preparing, issuing and checking statutory notices, ensuring landowner details, plans, terminology and documentation are accurate and compliant
- Raising and monitoring shopping carts, purchase orders and payment requests, while coordinating applications for payment and requisitioning cheques for fees and compensation
- Maintaining and continuously improving procedures, records, databases, spreadsheets and SharePoint libraries to support efficient team operations
- Supporting reporting requirements through accurate data analysis and presenting information clearly to managers and surveyors
- Ensuring all documentation, records and communications meet high standards of professionalism, accuracy and attention to detail
What You'll Bring
- Strong administrative experience with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines effectively
- A proactive and self-motivated approach, with the confidence to work independently, use initiative, and challenge constructively when needed
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels
- Adaptable and open to feedback, with a willingness to embrace change and contribute to continuous improvement
- Strong IT skills, including experience using Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to analyse data and present information in a clear and meaningful format
- Experience using SAP or a similar procurement or financial system
Why This Role
This is an opportunity to build valuable experience in a team that plays an important role in delivering major infrastructure projects across the North West. You'll gain exposure to a wide range of work, from stakeholder coordination and statutory processes to financial administration, data analysis and reporting, giving you the chance to develop a broad and transferable skillset.
You'll join a supportive and collaborative team that values knowledge sharing, open communication and continuous improvement. Working alongside experienced surveyors and industry professionals, you'll have the opportunity to learn from others, broaden your expertise and develop your confidence in a role that offers both responsibility and variety.
