Job Description
We are looking for a talented and dedicated technical enthusiast to join our TUI Flight Fulfillment Services Team in Bremen with immediate effect. We are providing customer flight service applications in order to handle voluntary and involuntary changes after flight booking. We are focusing on automation in this exciting as well as complex environment and creating scalable solutions for the TUI Group with its own airline TUIfly and various scheduled flight providers.
ABOUT THE POSITION
- As a Senior Backend Software Engineer, you’ll be part of a cross-functional team, owning software products from conception to operation
- Your expertise in software engineering, DevSecOps, and collaboration will support delivering customer-focused solutions
- You’re striving for automation, clean architectures, and high quality
- You’ll guide teams in solving business and technical problems efficiently
- With cloud expertise, especially in AWS, you will contribute to developing resilient, high-performing cloud-native applications
- You’ll actively verbalize ideas and collaborate with other teams to research and implement effective approaches and tools
- You drive for technical excellence, ownership, and self-organization at both team and personal levels
- You regularly coach, guide, and develop junior colleagues
- You enthusiastically learn and keep up-to-date with developments in your focus areas
ABOUT YOU
- Strong expertise in NodeJS, Go, or Java and their respective eco-systems
- Deep experience with implementing resource-oriented APIs (REST, SOAP) on client and server side as well as in setting up and maintaining complex infrastructure architectures
- Experience with data persistence (SQL/noSQL) and cloud design in AWS (with services like S3, SQS, SNS, Lambda, ECS)
- Proficiency in CI/CD pipeline, preferably Gitlab CI
- Ability to design, build, test, and deploy applications
- Customer centric and passionate about delivering great digital products and services
- Enabler for continuous improvement
- Strong problem-solving skills coupled with good communication skills
- Open minded, inquisitive, life-long learner
- Business fluent in English, ideally basic knowledge of German
