Job Description
We're looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our local Austrian finance team, where you'll play a key role in statutory accounting and monthly management reporting while ensuring we stay compliant with local regulations.
Please note: Candidates must have the legal right to work in Austria to be considered for this role.

ABOUT THE JOB
- You'll manage HR-accounting tasks including salary transactions, working closely with our payroll bureau and HR team to create payroll schedules and process payments.
- Working with local consultants, you'll ensure we're compliant with Austrian accounting rules while meeting company deadlines and central finance requirements.
- You'll handle VAT submissions for Thomson Reisen GmbH, monthly balance sheet reporting, and the issuing of manual invoices.
- Preparing journals for IFRS16, cashflows, and balance sheets for associates will be part of your remit, along with liaising with TUI UK to secure necessary funding for winter operations.
- You'll respond to requests from local authorities including VAT submissions and statistical surveys.
- Supporting our audit process, you'll prepare reports and draft financial statements while coordinating with auditors and providing COSO evidence.
ABOUT YOU
- You have proven experience in accounting with a track record of working effectively with large volumes of data.
- Your English and German language skills are excellent, both verbal and written.
- You're highly computer literate with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, and HFM.
- Your keen attention to detail is matched by your good communication and interpersonal skills.
- You're organised and able to manage your time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
