Join our Operations & Delivery team as a Port Delivery Team Leader – Shore Excursions in Sydney where you will be responsible for delivering smooth Dispatch and Operations by overseeing the delivery of services, team & staff management, and all related logistics.

Intercruises Shoreside & Port Services is a TUI owned specialist business providing cruise ship handling services to cruise lines in destinations throughout the world.

ABOUT YOU

  • High capacity to manage a team to deliver results.
  • The ability to use MS Office tools such as Excel, Teams, One Note & Outlook to high standards.
  • Is comfortable leading change and resilient to ambiguity or setbacks.
  • Must be available to work on weekends and/or holidays if required.
  • Solve problems independently and/or make suggestions how to improve ways of working and drive our digital culture.
  • Agility to juggle strategic priorities/projects whilst delivering day-to-day operational logistics.
  • A genuinely helpful, flexible, and professional personality.
  • Previous experience in travel/tourism and or cruise ships is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written English, plus fluency in other languages would be advantageous.

ABOUT THE JOB

  • Managing and leading a team of direct reports, ensuring efficient and effective processes at the Port (Shorex operations) that include constant collaboration and coordination between the team members.

  • Guarantee proper level of resources to deliver operations and manage staffing accordingly to the needs of each operation.

  • Responsible to develop and maintain continuous communication with the cruise ships and both internal and external stakeholders, including Port Authorities.

  • Work closely to the Port Delivery Team Manager to ensure a good commercial relationship with Cruise Lines by providing that all relevant feedback picked up during operation is reported.

  • Planning and booking of services to conduct shore excursions at various ports of Australia. The role may require travelling to different ports of the country.

  • Oversees and manages operations incidents in the Port and reviewing that there is no impact in the delivery of the operation.

  • Ensure operations changes at the pier are managed to the detail and suppliers receive last minute changes or requests.
