Opportunity

Maersk Crewing is responsible for ensuring that over ’300 Maersk vessels’ flying various flags are always manned with competent crew while complying with various international regulations and company procedures.
Crewing operations are run out of Mumbai, Singapore, and Copenhagen while supported by Marine People Teams based in Europe, India and the Philippines.
You will contribute as a high-performing member of the team responsible for carrying out assigned operational duties and tasks in the function of crewing operations. You will also drive regular process reviews and improvement in the crew operations process.

In this position, the incumbent will have an opportunity to acquire skills and knowledge in
the following areas:
Exposure to crew management related tasks and dynamic marine HR operations.
Building a good multi-level network across the fleet.
Enhancing coordination and communication skills especially with other departments or dealings with other companies such as local agents, suppliers, and Crew Managers.

Key Responsibilities
Ensure that vessels and ranks under your responsibility are adequately manned as per vessel flag requirements and company policies and guidelines.
Provide long term relief rotation and advance planning of Officers.
Ensure coordination/dialogue with Fleet Groups for Technical and Management requirement of the vessels.
Ensure planning of officers is conducted time and cost effectively.
Ensure coordination and effective handling of crew changes.
Ensure sufficient number of officers in pool.
Evaluate the performance of crew and ensure that promotable crew and crew requiring additional training are highlighted to the relevant teams.
Ensure compliance and validity of crew documents / certificates.
Ensure comprehensive documentation of officer’s record and crew change activities in system.
Ensure to conduct work activities in a manner that protects the health and safety of fellow employees, and that the vessel operations and employees do not harm the health and safety of others.
Promote effective, timely and close interaction between colleagues at sea & shore through continuous dialogue and vessel visits.
Participate, when requested, in all Crew Operations activities and company/department projects.
Ensure to conduct work activities in a manner that protects the health and safety of fellow employees, and that the vessel operations and employees do not harm the health and safety of others.
Ensure that data quality in our systems are updated and valid at all times.
We are looking for
The ideal candidate must possess at least a bachelor's/college degree, Business Studies/ Administration/Management combined with preferably 1+ years of experience specializing in manning/crewing or equivalent.
You:
Possess a strong natural drive for results, excellent stakeholder management skills.
Possess a proactive and positive attitude, enthusiasm and ability to cooperate in an always open and constructive manner.
Can plan and execute in a structured manner, which is critical to succeed in the position.
Can interact in an international setting as well as communicate efficiently in English, which is critical.
Have good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Are a strong team player, adaptable to change, comfortable with ambiguity, self-motivated and enjoy delivering high performance.
