About the job

  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with government representatives across all levels in Belgium, focusing on policy areas like tourism, transport, infrastructure, sustainability, labour, training, taxation, and subsidies.
  • Policy Advocacy: Act as the main point of contact to outline and promote TUI’s policy in the Belgian market, influencing policy-making and identifying opportunities for sectorial alliances.
  • Alignment and Coordination: Ensure alignment with TUI Group’s policy approach, providing transparency and consistency, and coordinate ministerial meetings, VIP visits, and key industry events.
  • Sustainability Support: Support the Sustainability Agenda and TUI Care Foundation initiatives to strengthen TUI’s position on sustainability within the industry.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with various business areas within the Group Public Policy Team, including Airlines, Tour Operator, TUI Hotel & Resort, TUI Musement, Group Legal, and Group Comms.

About you

  • Exceptional skills in building and influencing relationships at the highest levels.
  • Excellent understanding of policymaking in the tourism sector.
  • Proven experience and expertise in lobbying and public affairs.
  • Highly motivated with a successful track record in dealing with government representatives in Belgium.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills in English, French and Dutch. Another EU language is a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of the travel and tourism industry and its regulatory framework.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize key tasks.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
