Job Description

Join our global Intercruises Operations Team in Mallorca as an Airport Transport Team Leader.

As an Airport Tranport Team Leader, you will have overall responsibility for leading airport teams and ensuring the safe, compliant, efficient and customer focused delivery of Intercruises airport operations. You will own resource planning, oversee operational performance, manage key airport stakeholders, and act as the senior escalation point during operational challenges, while fostering a strong team culture and continuous improvement mindset..

Intercruises Shoreside & Port Services is a TUI owned specialist business providing cruise ship handling services to cruise lines in destinations throughout the world. You will be assisting cruise lines and other clients on their daily operations.

This is a locally employed position. You must have the right to work in Spain and live in or close to Palma de Mallorca before applying.

ABOUT THE JOB

  • Lead, motivate and develop airport teams, promoting high performance, collaboration and a positive working environment.
  • Own team planning and scheduling, ensuring staffing levels are aligned with operational demand, peak periods and client requirements.
  • Ensure consistent delivery of airport operations in line with Intercruises standards and cruise line expectations.
  • Act as the senior escalation point for operational incidents, managing disruptions calmly and effectively to minimize impact on guests and partners.
  • Prepare and oversee airport operations during peaks of demand, clashing schedules or colleague absence, ensuring continuity of service.
  • Work closely with internal departments and business units to support operational needs and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with airport stakeholders, including Airport Authorities, AENA and service partners, representing Intercruises professionally at all times.
  • Maintain clear and timely communication with port operations regarding flight delays, incidents or changes impacting arrivals.
  • Oversee completion of post operation and invoicing reports, ensuring accuracy, compliance and adherence to internal procedures.
  • Monitor operational performance and address issues proactively, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, service quality and team capability.
  • Lead by example on safety, compliance, wellbeing and customer focus, embedding company standards into daily operations.

ABOUT YOU

  • Proven experience leading operational teams, ideally within airport, transport or logistics environments.
  • Strong planning, organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced setting.
  • Confident decision maker who remains calm and solutions focused under pressure.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
  • Customer focused mindset, with a high level of responsibility and accountability.
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Fully conversational in English and Spanish; additional languages (German, French, Italian) are an advantage.
