Supply Chain Manager - Regulatory Compliance
Job Description
Are you passionate about turning complex regulation into practical business solutions?
We're looking for a Supply Chain Regulatory Compliance Manager to lead our approach to emerging UK and EU regulatory requirements across the Booker supply chain. This is a brand new role with the opportunity to shape how we manage compliance, influence key business decisions and ensure we're ready for future legislative change.
Working across Supply Chain, Trading, Technical, Distribution, Technology and Tesco Group teams, you'll be our subject matter expert on regulatory compliance, helping develop processes that keep us compliant while supporting efficient operations. You'll play a key role in translating complex legislation into clear, practical actions that work for our business, our colleagues and our customers.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys solving problems, influencing stakeholders and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.
- Leading the development and continuous improvement of our Supply Chain Regulatory Compliance framework.
- Acting as the business expert for regulatory requirements impacting Booker operations, including EUDR, Windsor Framework obligations and the NI Retail Movement Scheme.
- Monitoring emerging UK and EU legislation and assessing potential impacts across the supply chain.
- Partnering with colleagues across Supply Chain, Trading, Technical and Technology teams to deliver compliant and sustainable solutions.
- Using data and operational insight to identify risks, trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Supporting compliance across EU facing product ranges and supply routes.
- Managing legal routing requirements and ensuring processes align with regulatory obligations.
- Maintaining compliance within business systems, including SAP and specialist compliance platforms.
- Providing guidance on areas such as ingredients, product labelling and certification requirements.
- Ensuring data accuracy and governance standards are maintained.
- Acting as a key contact for regulatory stakeholders, including Tesco Group teams, government bodies and third party partners.
- Representing Booker in industry forums and working groups relating to regulatory change.
You'll be naturally curious, commercially aware and comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders. You'll enjoy navigating ambiguity, simplifying complex information and turning insights into actions that make a real difference.
You'll also have:
- Experience working within compliance, supply chain, logistics, technical, regulatory or a related business function.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to interpret and challenge data.
- Experience influencing and collaborating with stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex topics in a simple and engaging way.
- A proactive mindset and passion for continuous improvement.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience working with Excel and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of UK or EU regulatory frameworks would be advantageous, but a willingness to learn is equally important.
