Job Description

Our Project Managers lead complex, highpriority change initiatives across the UK business, playing a key role in delivering the UK Plan. They bring teams together across multiple functions, often tackling completely new challenges and working closely with Directors from all areas of the business. With several programmes running each year and priorities shifting as work evolves, this role is ideal for someone looking to broaden their network and gain diverse crossfunctional experience. Its a great opportunity to refine project management capability, creating clarity where none exists, adapting leadership style to influence peers and senior colleagues, and driving critical business outcomes. There is also scope to shape and develop initiatives that strengthen our wider Programme, Project and Change community.

  • Defining and scoping the projects and programmes you lead, setting a clear vision, objectives and delivery plan
  • Mobilising crossfunctional teams and embedding effective ways of working
  • Establishing and facilitating governance to provide strong oversight and direction
  • Engaging and aligning stakeholders at all levels to deliver against the plan
  • Managing interdependencies and impacts across projects and programmes
  • Driving consistent, transparent progress, identifying and managing risks, issues and opportunities
  • Building and supporting capability, contributing to subjectmatter expertise within the team and the wider Programmes, Projects and Change community
  • Comfort with ambiguity, enjoying the challenge of bringing clarity where none exists
  • Positive energy and a solutionsfocused mindset that motivates teams to deliver the right outcomes, in the right way
  • A strong connection to the Tesco Purpose and Values, embracing our Win Together behaviours
  • A proven track record of delivering projects and programmes, working effectively across multiple functions
  • Experience leading project teams and building strong, trusted relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Confidence in influencing and engaging stakeholders, facilitating governance sessions and NWTs, and working directly with senior leaders
  • A proactive approach, taking accountability, making informed decisions and driving progress
  • A clear sense of personal development, with an understanding of how this role supports your future career
  • A collaborative, teamoriented mindset, contributing to a motivated, highperforming team culture
