
Reporting and Analytics Data Partner
Job Description
The Reporting & Analytics Data Partner acts as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders, translating business questions into high quality reporting, insights, and analytics. The role focuses on enabling confident, evidence based decision making through clear, accurate, and well governed data products.�I also support teams to grow their confidence and capability in using data, helping improve data literacy and the effective use of reporting across the business
This role balances strong stakeholder engagement with analytical capability, ensuring reporting solutions are aligned to business priorities, consistent in methodology, and easy for end users to interpret and act on.
Business Partnering & Requirements
- Partnering with stakeholders to clarify reporting questions, success measures, and intended decisions.
- Translating needs into clear requirements, definitions, and reporting outputs within agreed governance/standards.
- Managing expectations on what the data can/can�t answer and providing clear interpretation guidance.
Reporting & Dashboard Delivery
- Producing and maintaining repeatable reporting (dashboards, packs, KPI views) aligned to agreed definitions.
- Delivering timely, accurate insight and commentary, highlighting key trends, drivers, and exceptions.
- Managing a pipeline of reporting requests, prioritising for impact, and tracking actions to completion.
Data Quality, Controls & Documentation
- Applying robust checks (reconciliation, tolerance checks, trend validation) to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Investigating anomalies, raising data issues with the right teams, and following through to resolution.
- Documenting definitions, logic, assumptions, and changes so outputs remain transparent and audit ready.
Continuous Improvement & Ways of Working
- Improving reporting efficiency by reducing manual steps, standardising templates, and simplifying outputs.
- Proposing practical enhancements to dashboards and packs based on stakeholder feedback and usage.
- Coordinating across teams to land improvements and share best practice.
Coaching / Supporting Others
- Acting as a knowledgeable point of contact for less experienced colleagues (e.g. checking work, sharing approaches, helping unblock problems).
- Leading project steps within a broader initiative or owning ongoing activities/objectives end to end. �
Essential
- Experience delivering reporting/analytics in a fast paced environment with multiple stakeholders.
- Evidence of owning end to end reporting outputs (requirements build QA release iterate).
- Strong data accuracy mindset and experience applying checks/controls.
- Confident communicator who can explain �what the data means� clearly and credibly.
Desirable
- Experience with People / workforce / HR metrics and reporting.
- Experience improving reporting processes (standardising, automating, simplifying).
- Experience coaching others informally or leading project steps.
