Working within Booker Technology, you’ll support the delivery of IT security, risk and compliance frameworks end to end. You’ll partner closely with colleagues across Technology and the wider Tesco Group, helping to embed good practice, improve documentation and support a “business as usual” approach to compliance.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with others, explaining complex topics clearly, and making compliance practical and meaningful.
- Act with integrity and due diligence, always following our Business Code of Conduct
- Support compliance with IT General Controls (ITGC), ICFR and internal cyber security controls
- Build strong working relationships with process owners and control owners across Technology
- Create and maintain process narratives, flow diagrams and RACI documentation
- Support testing, mitigation and remediation of IT controls, working through issues collaboratively
- Clearly communicate findings and outcomes of control testing to stakeholders
- Help teams improve the quality and consistency of control documentation
- Support audit activities and evidence gathering, including defining and tracking KPIs
- Act as a subject matter expert on internal controls and security compliance
- Work with colleagues across Booker and the Tesco Group to embed sustainable compliance processes
- Experience working in IT risk, security or compliance, ideally within a complex organisation
- A good understanding of IT controls, cyber security controls and governance frameworks
- Experience documenting processes, writing narratives and supporting remediation activity
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with confidence influencing and collaborating at all levels
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical topics simply
- Good organisation and record‑keeping skills, with attention to detail
- A proactive and inclusive approach, enjoying teamwork and shared problem‑solving
