Simitive, the market leader in Cloud software for Universities is recruiting a Junior Project Manager to join the growing Services team. The role of a Simitive Junior Project Manager is to plan, coordinate and ensure successful implementations of our software systems to clients around the world. The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring that all Simitive implementation projects are delivered on time and within budget whilst ensuring client satisfaction is maintained at a high level.  

Role Overview 
The role of a Simitive Junior Project Manager is to plan, coordinate and ensure successful implementations of our software systems to clients around the world. The Junior Project Manager is responsible for ensuring that all Simitive implementation projects are delivered on time and within budget whilst ensuring client satisfaction is maintained at a high level.   

As a Simitive Junior Project Manager, you will support the team in identifying improvements to project processes and delivery.

Main Responsibilities 

Act as the main point of contact to the client, on behalf of all Simitive departments associated with the project. 

Coordinate resources to effectively ensure successful execution of the project plan to ensure that the project is delivered on time, to budget and meets the committed specification.  

Create and maintain project documentation, such as project plans, to the Simitive standard, and to meet client requirements.   

Assist the Manager of Implementation, Training and Projects in the continual improvement of project process and structure. 

Ensure problems are effectively escalated and proactive support is provided as needed.  

Be part of both implementation / kick-off meetings as well as final project close meetings with external clients.  

Running or supporting stand-ups, planning meetings, and retrospectives. Coordinating between developers, designers, QA, and stakeholders.  
 
​​ Qualifications, Skills and Behaviours

Willingness to complete PRINCE2 Foundation & Practitioner Qualification. 
Willingness to complete internal Agile/Scrum Master training. 

 Skills and experience  

Communicates in a professional, confident & concise manner, both verbally and in writing, with both technical and non-technical staff to develop strong working relationships throughout the project.  

Remains calm under pressure.   

Able to engage client and internal staff and successfully transfer knowledge.  

Has a basic understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall). 

Able to monitor and report on project progress, highlighting the remaining project time and pro-actively escalating issues where necessary.  

Skilled in organisational, time management and project management skills and multi-tasking abilities.  

Naturally has a collaborative approach, learning from other members of the team and contributing to the constant improvement of Simitive project delivery.  

Able to deploy active listening and asking the right clarifying questions.
