At SAP, we keep it simple: you bring your best to us, and we'll bring out the best in you. We're builders touching over 20 industries and 80% of global commerce, and we need your unique talents to help shape what's next. The work is challenging – but it matters. You'll find a place where you can be yourself, prioritize your wellbeing, and truly belong. What's in it for you? Constant learning, skill growth, great benefits, and a team that wants you to grow and succeed.

- Excellent team player, passionate about their work, self-motivated and driven
- Ability to collaborate in person at our Berlin office location
What you bring
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences
- Strong development proficiency in Python or similar programming languages
- Deep understanding of design and architectural patterns (e.g., Abstract Factory, Observer, Singleton, Strategy patterns)
- Experience with agile software development methodologies (Scrum) and modern development practices including:
- Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
- Regular code reviews and pair programming
- Test-driven development (TDD)
- Practical experience with prompt engineering and working with Large Language Models (LLMs)
- Understanding of Microservice-based architecture
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly
- Working from Berlin office is required at least once a week
Where you belong
We're building a tool that brings LLM and AI-powered insights directly into developers' workflows – and we want you to help make it happen. As a working student in our team, you'll be a core contributor to this project, not just supporting from the sidelines.
Your primary focus will be developing and maintaining a tool that seamlessly integrates AI insights into the software development lifecycle, helping SAP developers identify gaps, improve code quality, and make smarter decisions right where they work. This isn't a proof of concept – you'll be building features that go into production quickly and impact developers across SAP in their day to day.
You'll work with cutting-edge technologies including Large Language Models (LLMs), cloud-native architectures, and modern development tooling. Our team is passionate about developer experience, and we're committed to creating tools that developers actually want to use. We believe excellent insights lead to great products, and this tool is our way of making that vision real.
We're a self-contained team that drives our own roadmap, but we actively share our learnings and technology throughout SAP. We're serious about delivering great experiences, but we don't take ourselves too seriously – we value creativity, collaboration, and having fun while building terrific products together.
Your set of application documents should contain a cover letter, a resume in table form, school leaving certificates, certificate of enrollment, current university transcript of records, copies of any academic degrees already earned, and if available, references from former employers (including internships). Please also describe your experience and skills in foreign languages and computer programs / programming languages.
This is a SAP global, strategic, paid working student position that provides students with opportunities to find purpose in their careers.
