What you`ll build
We are looking for a dynamic, creative, and results-driven User Experience (UX) Developer and Designer to join our unit, User Assistance – Content, Services, Infrastructure (UA CSI). If you are passionate about bringing a harmonized and delightful user experience to our customers and internal stakeholders, and can work across technologies and teams, we would love to hear from you.
The Role:
Design Delivery and Execution
As a Senior UX Developer and Designer, you will focus on delivering high-quality UX/UI solutions based on defined product direction for both our internal stakeholders—who rely on tools to deliver and manage user assistance content—and our customers who consume it through tools such as the SAP Help Portal.
You will be a strong advocate for user experience within the unit as well as the user assistance community within SAP and work from prioritized requirements provided by product teams, always with a focus on what our users across SAP need and expect.
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand our users’ needs as well as the project’s goals and constraints.
- Ensure consistency and adherence to UX best practices across all digital touchpoints.
- Create and iterate on wireframes, interactive prototypes, user flows and high-fidelity UIs based on agreed guidelines.
- Consistently apply design systems
- Iterate quickly based on feedback
- Work with development and other designers to ensure designs are understood, feasible, and implemented as intended; provide design QA and clarify details during delivery.
- Ensure designs meet accessibility requirements and support inclusive experiences.
Communication and Stakeholder Management
You ensure timely communication with all target audiences, using the appropriate communication assets and you seek support from our internal community engagement team when needed. You work in close collaboration with other teams within our unit as well as other key stakeholders and liaise closely with colleagues working on various customer engagement activities. You work in close collaboration with teams within our unit and with key stakeholders to align on requirements, present design options and incorporate feedback so they can work toward delivery. You collaborate with PMs, engineers, and colleagues to deliver solutions, and are a strong advocate for customer needs.
What you bring
- Degree in UX design, visual / interaction design or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in UX/UI design and User Interaction design.
- Portfolio required: Candidates must submit a portfolio that clearly demonstrates both the final pixel-perfect designs (what) and the reasoning behind them (why). This should include the problem, constraints, decisions made, and how the solution evolved.
- Visual design experience and attention to detail.
- Strong Figma experience is essential
- Professional experience with Adobe Products (Illustrator, Photoshop)
- Experience with SAP products and tools is beneficial.
