Within the SCM solution area we are the product management team who own the product definition & strategy for SCM core applications in public Cloud ERP, spanning mainly manufacturing & logistics. Public cloud ERP (S/4HANA Public Cloud) is the heart & soul of our Business Suite offering and we have witnessed a breathtaking growth in our customer adoption. For Gartner and other leading analysts, we rank as leaders in the product centric cloud ERP application market. To build on this success we look to strengthen our team with key resources.

What you will build:

Join our team and shape the future of the Business Suite for SCM as a Cross- Product Manager for SCM Core (S/4HANA public cloud). We are looking for passionate and experienced product manager (m/f/d) to join our SCM Core Product Management team as the lead for the Engineer-to-Order (ETO) scenario

You will be involved in a full lifecycle of product discovery, from creating insights based on feedback from partners, customers, or other stakeholders to the delivery of product and collection of insights on new feature adoption and customer satisfaction.

The objectives you will own, and deliver could include the following:

  • Engineer-to-Order (ETO) Scenario Ownership

- Stakeholder management between engineering, industry and product marketing

- Working with industry and engineering in identifying the ETO roadmap

- Ensuring roadmap items are being delivered (across LoBs if necessary

  • Engineer-to-Order (ETO) Scope Item Ownership

- Scope item maintenance and improvements to existing (6GD): Expanding the existing 6GD scope item with additional content (eg: subcontracting, quotation...)

- New scope item creation and ownership (discussions in progress for topics below)

- Incident management relating to existing scope item/ETO

  • Expect to interact and lead a multitude of various stakeholders. The topics will cover a wide range of areas and will be very dynamic.
  • Establish working groups for this E2E process, execute on planning, implementation and delivery of the topics
  • Act as a business analyzer of customer requests, contribute to discovery results, support with the translation of them into business deliverables incl. definition of business processes
  • Working in the new Harmonized Product Operating Model
  • Building a high-performing (virtual) team and ensuring that the right resources are utilized to achieve the team’s objective

What You bring

  • Academic Excellence: Master’s degree (or equivalent)
  • SAP ERP Expertise: Integrated and good knowledge of SAP S/4HANA SCM core E2E processes and capabilities (ideally for public cloud): Logistics & manufacturing. This expertise allows you to master new topics quickly and allows you to assess impact for relevant teams.
  • Experience and Expertise: 6+ years of experience, ideally in customer facing roles in product management OR services OR pre-sales, where you have successfully applied your ERP knowledge in the corresponding interactions (product management work or projects or sales cycles)
  • Team player who can lead without authority, strong network builder and extraordinary stakeholder management capabilities
  • You take ownership & drive topics independently using project management skills / approaches to orchestrate stakeholders and deliverables
  • Track record of leading interdisciplinary teams to great results
  • Ideal: Sound understanding of the development process in S/4HANA Cloud – being able to team up with all relevant stakeholders and drive the delivery of outcomes
  • JIRA – nice to have - proficiency in using JIRA for product management and roadmap planning
  • Language Skills: Fluency in written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus
