We help the world run better
At SAP, we keep it simple: you bring your best to us, and we'll bring out the best in you. We're builders touching over 20 industries and 80% of global commerce, and we need your unique talents to help shape what's next. The work is challenging – but it matters. You'll find a place where you can be yourself, prioritize your wellbeing, and truly belong. What's in it for you? Constant learning, skill growth, great benefits, and a team that wants you to grow and succeed.

About the Role

We are seeking an innovative and experienced Process Expert with deep expertise in Travel & Expenses (T&E) and strong knowledge of SAP Concur to drive global process excellence in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment.

In this role, you will design, implement, and continuously optimize globally scalable T&E processes, with a strong focus on automation, AI-first approaches, and digital transformation. You will collaborate closely with Global Finance & Administration (GFA), Office of Ethics & Compliance (OEC), Corporate Processes & Information Technology (CPIT), and SAP Product Management to ensure processes are efficient, compliant, user-friendly, and aligned with global standards. The role also supports Car Fleet processes, ensuring alignment with Travel & Expenses and broader Spend processes.

This position offers the opportunity to shape the future of SAP’s travel and expense ecosystem while influencing global strategy and driving meaningful operational transformation.

What you'll do:

1. Process Optimization & Innovation

  • Design and lead the implementation of optimized, globally scalable Travel & Expenses processes within SAP Concur.
  • Identify opportunities for AI, automation, machine learning, and robotics to simplify workflows and enhance user experience.
  • Develop, document, and maintain global process standards and best practices; ensure Signavio documentation and SOX control mapping are accurate and complete.
  • Monitor process performance, adoption, and efficiency, continuously proposing enhancements aligned with global strategy.
  • Additionally support the process design, enhancement, and governance of the Car Fleet process, ensuring alignment with global standards and integration points with Travel & Expenses.

2. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with GFA (Procurement & GFS PTP), Finance, Compliance, and CPIT teams to ensure seamless process execution across regions.
  • Collaborate with CPIT to request, test, and implement system enhancements, ensure IT compatibility, and guarantee system performance.
  • Coordinate with SAP Product Management to stay aligned on new features, innovations, and AI capabilities relevant to SAP Concur and the broader Spend ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with relevant teams on integration points with Car Fleet processes where applicable.

3. KPI Governance & Performance Insights

  • Define, monitor, and review key performance indicators for Travel & Expenses processes.
  • Use analytic tools and SAP Concur reporting to track trends, generate insights, and develop recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Present KPI findings to stakeholders and leadership, highlighting successes, risks, and strategic opportunities.
  • Measure and improve end-user satisfaction through surveys and interaction metrics.

4. Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure T&E processes fully align with internal policies, global regulations, and compliance standards.
  • Act as the process owner for relevant S2P workflows, ensuring all processes meet SOX compliance requirements.
  • Proactively identify risks and implement mitigation strategies across global operations.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Technology, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in process management, procurement or finance operations.
  • Strong expertise in SAP Concur, global travel & expense processes, and cross-team collaboration.
  • Proven experience defining, analyzing, and presenting KPIs for global processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships across regions and functions.
  • Strong presentation skills, able to clearly convey complex topics to diverse audiences, including senior leadership.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple global initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strategic and analytical mindset with a proactive problem-solving approach.
  • High adaptability, flexibility, and willingness to embrace change and new technologies.
  • Passion for digital transformation, innovation, and AI-driven process improvement.
