What you Build

Join us in Bangalore as a Developer (Java) and help shape the future of SAP Concur—SAP’s industry‑leading Travel & Expense SaaS platform used globally.
You’ll build high‑impact, enterprise‑grade systems at massive scale while working closely with product, design,
and engineering teams in an agile, innovative environment.

Lead the evolution of the Concur Audit System, enhancing a platform that processes millions of transactions daily across thousands of customers by driving architectural improvements, performance tuning, and high‑scale reliability.
Provide technical leadership for modernizing backend and batch‑processing pipelines, including re‑architecting legacy flows and adopting workflow orchestration tools where appropriate.
Why it matters: Scalable, resilient workflows ensure consistent, reliable processing for mission‑critical customer operations.
Design and deliver secure, scalable micro-services on SAP’s multi‑cloud architecture using Java, Spring, and modern cloud technologies.

Drive improvements in monitoring, observability, and diagnostics for both real‑time and batch workloads, making systems easier to troubleshoot and more resilient to failures.

Shape best practices for high‑scale SaaS systems, influencing architecture, performance, security, and DevOps standards across the team.

What you Bring

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4+ years of expertise in Java and related frameworks (Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Security), with experience building large‑scale SaaS or cloud applications.
  • Deep knowledge of REST API and OData API design for secure, well‑structured, and scalable service interfaces.
  • Proficiency with AWS services (S3, SimpleQueue, DB) and comfort working in multi‑cloud environments.
  • Strong SQL capabilities and experience optimizing large‑scale database solutions; familiarity with Flyway is a plus.
  • Excellent debugging and performance tuning skills, including use of profilers, heap/thread dumps, and JVM/GC optimization.
  • Experience developing and operating complex backend and batch‑processing systems at scale.
  • Ability to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automate processes, and drive DevOps adoption across teams.
  • Experience with containerized deployments and orchestration using Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with full‑stack development (React, Angular, or similar) is a plus.
  • Extensive hands‑on experience with AI pair programming tools, including deep usage of GitHub Copilot to accelerate delivery and improve code quality.
  • Working knowledge of Agentic AI concepts and protocols (Model Context Protocol, Agent‑to‑Agent Communication Protocols).
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues in high‑traffic, mission‑critical environments.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, and customer‑facing skills.
  • A high‑ownership mindset—taking initiative, setting direction, challenging the status quo, and consistently driving impactful outcomes.
  • Commitment to maintaining in‑office presence to support efficient team collaboration and shared problem‑solving.
