About the Team:

The FinOps Adoption Team is the central LoB Engagement function regarding​ FinOps capabilities and -Business Operations. It manages the collaboration with our Business- and Controlling Units​ in an efficient and highly automated way as well as collaborate closely with the Product Management to evolve our product portfolio.

The team is covering multiple FinOps related Areas like:

  • Showback, billing and invoicing for all public cloud platforms globally
  • Driving cost efficiency by developing and measuring of meaningful Unit Economics KPIs and offering Benchmarking methodologies / reports
  • Supporting and driving the Business Units in terms of Rate and Workload Optimization
  • Managing the FinOps Community across SAP
  • Driving key strategic topics cross FinOps Areas like e.g. Tagging, Central Reservation Purchasing, etc

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Core FinOps Operations
    • Execute daily financial operations on China Cloud providers AWS China, Azure China and Ali Cloud, where the highest focus is on AliCloud. This includes: reconciliation, invoicing, approvals, payments, and credit remittance, ensuring zero disruption to business continuity.
  1. Cost Visibility & Reporting
    • Deliver standardized Show-back reports and customize reports per LOB requirements.
    • Maintain Chargeback policies, ensuring accurate cost allocation and timely updates.
  1. Cost Optimization
    • Analyze and optimize cloud spend via RI/SP/SCU utilization reports, purchase recommendations, and execution.
    • Research and pilot new optimization tools/features (e.g., Ali Cloud’s latest cost-saving products).
  1. Collaboration & Problem-Solving
    • Collaborate with Cloud Provider Teams, especially Ali Cloud to troubleshoot billing/financial issues.
    • Partner with LOBs to understand needs and deliver tailored FinOps solutions.
    • Train teams on cost-saving strategies and FinOps best practice

Preferred Experience:

  • Technical Skills:
    • Coding: Python, SQL, Jenkins; Excel/VBA for automation.
    • Cloud billing/finance expertise
    • 5+ years Hands on experience on public cloud platforms (AliCloud, Azure, AWS)
    • Strong experience with FinOps practices
  • Language Skills:
    • Fluent in Chinese
    • Fluent in English
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong communication and negotiation skills to bridge finance, tech, and business teams.
    • Agile problem-solving for rapid debugging and issue resolution.
  • Data-Driven Mindset:
    • Proficiency in data analysis to derive actionable insights
