This role plays a key part in improving every customer interaction irrespective of the touchpoint and improving the way our websites support customers to fulfil their needs. You will as a Senior DevOps Engineer work in the team that is responsible for shaping the backbone for Agentic AI development and adoption as part of the E2E Data Engineering team.

The role is positioned in the global unit Cross Engineering, Experience, and Excellence (CE3). The CE3 team provides a multi-disciplinary, bringing together cross-functional expertise with an end-to-end perspective. The mission is to avoid siloed solutions and keep the holistic integrity of broader Customer & Partner organization intact.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Design, build, and maintain DEV, STAGE, and PROD environments by applying DevOps and DevSecOps best practices.
  • Develop automation, tooling, and processes to enable teams to deploy, configure, manage, scale, and monitor platform applications and infrastructure efficiently.
  • Collaborate and communicate with stakeholders to support product integrations and ensure smooth end-to-end delivery.
  • Work as part of an Agile team, actively adopting Agile principles, ceremonies, and best practices.

Experience (Role Requirements):

  • Cloud experience with any hyperscaler (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and SAP BTP, with a preference for Azure and BTP. Relevant certifications are a strong plus.
  • Experience with process automation to reduce human error, particularly through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform/OpenToFu (preferred), Pulumi, or Crossplane.
  • Deep understanding of SDLC and CI/CD practices, with proven experience designing and automating end-to-end pipelines for build, test, quality gates, and deployments using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions, as well as Jenkins.
  • Hands-on experience in Kubernetes operations and cluster management, with a solid understanding of containerization concepts, including Docker and container orchestration; CKA and CKS certifications are a strong plus.
  • Strong adherence to security best practices, including secure secret management using tools such as Azure Key Vault and HashiCorp Vault.
  • Strong observability skills, including hands-on experience with Grafana, Prometheus, ELK/EFK stacks, and distributed tracing.
  • Proficient in working with streaming platforms such as Apache Kafka or Azure Event Hubs.
  • Working knowledge of software build and dependency management tools, including Maven and Gradle.
  • Strong proficiency in Bash and/or Python, with proven experience developing automation scripts and infrastructure-focused solutions.
  • Strong expertise in Linux-based systems, with working knowledge of Windows environments.
  • Strong experience with Git-based version control, including branching, tagging, and release management strategies.
  • Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef).
  • Contributions to open-source projects, engineering communities, internal accelerators, or platform/tooling enhancements are considered a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills in the English language (English is working language)
  • Ability to work in an international environment and act as team player
  • Academic degree in Information Technology or Software Engineering

Compensation Range Transparency

SAP provides the annualized compensation range, which includes both base salary and variable incentive targets for the career level of the posted role. The target range for this position is 213800 - 383300(PLN) [EUR]. The actual amount offered to successful candidates will fall within this range and will depend on factors such as education, skills, experience, and role scope, as determined during the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a target amount, with the actual payout depending on both company and individual performance.
