Job Title: Senior Developer

Purpose and Objective:
SAP Labs, LLC seeks a Senior Developer at our Palo Alto, CA location responsible for development focusing on design, coding, testing, quality assurance of complex product features in a development team.
Expectations and Tasks:
Resolve complex issues within own area of expertise and supports others in resolving issues. Show initiative and drive topics to resolution in a high level of quality, speed, reliability, and efficiency. Work closely together with others and share expertise to ensure product success. Constantly improve own work methods to gain state-of-the-art agile software engineering skills. Enhance skills beyond own core functional focus and work on other tasks for the benefit of the team. Have advanced overall product and technical knowledge and share expertise within and across team and organization. Have advanced knowledge of development processes and product standards.
Education and Occupational Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Technology, or a related field of study and six (6) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Technology, or a related field of study and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
Qualifications/Skills and Competencies Experience:
Experience must involve four (4) years in the following:
Participation in software development focusing on design, coding, testing, quality assurance of complex product features as part of development team;
UI Frontend development and testing using JavaScript or Angular;
Communication with backend services using REST;
Web page development and testing using HTML and CSS;
Strong problem solving and debugging expertise in Angular or JavaScript;
Experience in version control tools including Git; and
Work in accordance with agile development models (Scrum and Agile).

Compensation Range Transparency: The annual base salary range for this position is $151,079 - $211,992. SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $151,079 - $240,900. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
