Job Summary:
The Senior Product Marketing Manager owns the product launch activities that transform a SAP Cloud Solution into a commercially viable, market-ready offering for the U.S. Public Sector market. They work at the intersection of product, sales, marketing, legal, and finance. They are accountable for ensuring that every stakeholder inside and outside the organization is informed, and ready to sell, buy, and support each solution from day one of launch.
Responsibilities:
The Product Marketing Manager leads the commercialization strategy for every software solution which includes translating technical capability into a compelling market offering with a clear value proposition, defined target customer, and structured go-to-market plan.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive commercialization plan for each SAP solution including reviewing pricing and business contractual language.
- Develop and work with marketing on the launch communications plan for each solution which includes internal announcements, customer communications, partner notifications, press releases, and digital channel activations
- Manage the launch timeline and milestone tracking, maintaining visibility into launch readiness across all workstreams and escalating risks or blockers proactively
- Manage Competitive Intelligence to monitor analyze market trends (i.e. security compliances – CMMC, FedRAMP, DISA, etc.) across U.S. Public Sector and Defense Industry Base (DIB)
- Maintain up-to-date competitive intelligence and equip the sales team to win against key competitors
- Build or implement tools to optimize and manage the product launch process to support multiple launches concurrently
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of product launch, product marketing, commercialization and cloud software experience in the government industry (SAP Solutions experience is a benefit: SAP Cloud ERP, Business Technology Platform, SAP AI solutions, or others.)
- Lead product launches and market activations in close collaboration with product management and demand generation teams
- Self-motivated, strong business acumen, good judgment, attention to detail, objectivity, and accountability
- Strong project management capability ability to manage multiple concurrent launch workstreams with competing timelines and cross-functional dependencies
- Strong writing and content development skills ability to produce high-quality, customer-facing collateral independently including one-pagers, decks, white papers, and case studies
- Knowledge of key AI tools for how AI can support our overall product launch strategy
Travel and Location:
- 15% travel is required
- Candidates who live within a commutable distance to Herndon, Virginia are preferred

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted annual combined range for this position is 131000-271600USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
