Channel Marketing Manager - Commercial
Job Description
Job Title: Channel Marketing Manager - Commercial
Salary: £50,000- £55,000 DOE
Location: Hybrid (1-2 days per week in London office)
At Pod, we're helping businesses make the transition to electric vehicles through smart, scalable charging solutions. As our Channel Marketing Manager, Commercial, you'll play a key role in driving growth across our Workplace, Depot and Home Fleet propositions.
You'll own the marketing strategy and execution for these commercial channels, creating compelling go-to-market plans that support both new business acquisition and customer growth. Working closely with Sales, Product and the wider Marketing team, you'll deliver campaigns that strengthen customer relationships, increase engagement, generate demand, and drive measurable commercial outcomes.
You'll also lead the development of customer-focused content, from case studies to thought leadership, helping position Pod as a trusted partner in the EV transition. Reporting to the Head of Partnerships & Commercial Marketing, you'll have significant ownership and the opportunity to shape how we take our commercial propositions to market.
Here's what our Head of Partnerships & Commercial Marketing had to say:
"This role sits at the heart of one of Pod's biggest growth opportunities. You'll have the chance to shape how we take our Workplace, Depot and Home Fleet propositions to market, with real ownership over strategy, campaigns, content and commercial performance. We're looking for someone who enjoys combining creativity with data, building strong relationships across teams, and turning customer insight into marketing that drives results. If you're excited by the challenge of scaling a fast-growing business while helping accelerate the transition to cleaner transport, you'll find plenty of opportunity to make an impact here."
What You'll Do:
Develop Go-to-Market Plans
You'll lead go-to-market planning for our Workplace, Depot and Home Fleet propositions, working closely with the B2B Acquisition Manager to create marketing programmes that support commercial objectives, accelerate growth and maximise market opportunities.
Drive Retention and Account Growth
You'll develop and deliver campaigns that strengthen relationships with existing customers, increase engagement, and identify opportunities to expand adoption of Pod's commercial propositions. You'll create programmes that support both customer retention and revenue growth.
Lead Content Strategy and Development
You'll shape the content strategy for our commercial propositions, creating briefs and working with internal and external stakeholders to develop impactful case studies, customer stories, thought leadership and sales content that supports lead generation and brand credibility.
Enable Sales Success
You'll work closely with Sales to understand customer needs and market opportunities, creating the tools, content and resources that help teams effectively position and sell Pod's solutions.
Deliver Events and Industry Engagement
You'll plan and execute events, webinars, exhibitions and industry engagement activities that raise awareness of Pod's commercial propositions, generate demand and support business development goals.
Support Account-Based Marketing Programmes
Working in partnership with the B2B Acquisition Manager, you'll deliver targeted account-based marketing initiatives for key commercial accounts, building stronger relationships and generating opportunities within strategically important customers.
Measure Performance and Optimise Results
You'll establish clear marketing KPIs and reporting frameworks, analysing campaign, content and event performance to identify opportunities for improvement and maximise return on investment.
Bring Market Insight into Strategy
You'll stay close to customer needs, market trends and competitor activity across workplace charging, depot charging and home fleet solutions, using insights to strengthen proposition positioning and marketing effectiveness.
Manage Budget and Investment
You'll own the commercial marketing budget, allocating resources effectively across campaigns, content and events, and continually optimising investment based on performance and commercial impact.
What You'll Bring:
Proven B2B Marketing Experience
You'll have strong experience in commercial or B2B marketing, with a track record of delivering customer acquisition, retention and account growth programmes that contribute directly to business performance.
Strong Multi-Channel Marketing Expertise
You'll be experienced across account-based marketing, content marketing, events, digital campaigns and lifecycle marketing, with the ability to prioritise effectively across multiple initiatives and stakeholder groups.
Content Development Experience
You'll have experience developing case studies, thought leadership and customer-focused content that supports lead generation, sales engagement and brand positioning.
Campaign Development and Execution
You'll be confident building and delivering campaigns from strategy through to execution, measurement and optimisation, balancing creativity with commercial outcomes.
Outstanding Stakeholder Management
You'll be a strong communicator who can build trusted relationships across Sales, Marketing, Product and leadership teams, presenting recommendations and results with confidence.
Data-Driven Decision Making
You'll be comfortable working with performance data and marketing analytics, using insights to optimise campaign effectiveness and demonstrate contribution to pipeline, retention and revenue growth.
Budget Management Experience
You'll have experience managing marketing budgets, making informed investment decisions and balancing competing priorities to deliver the strongest commercial return.
Collaborative Working Style
You'll enjoy working cross-functionally and building alignment across teams to ensure marketing activity supports wider business objectives.
Marketing Technology Knowledge
You'll have experience using marketing automation platforms, ideally HubSpot, and understand how marketing technology can support campaign delivery, reporting and lead generation.
