Job Description
We help the world run better
At SAP, we keep it simple: you bring your best to us, and we'll bring out the best in you. We're builders touching over 20 industries and 80% of global commerce, and we need your unique talents to help shape what's next. The work is challenging – but it matters. You'll find a place where you can be yourself, prioritize your wellbeing, and truly belong. What's in it for you? Constant learning, skill growth, great benefits, and a team that wants you to grow and succeed.
What you'll build:
The buying experience is where enterprise procurement begins. In the procure-to-pay cycle—from purchase requisition through invoice and payment—buying is the gateway. You own how very large enterprises guide their employees to make purchasing decisions that are compliant, cost-effective, and aligned with corporate policy. These aren't simple decisions: employees are spread across continents, business units have different rules, and procurement teams need visibility into every transaction.Buying owns catalog (what products and services are available), search (how employees find them), and approvals (who signs off and when). The core tension you'll navigate: these companies need control and compliance, but they also need speed and ease of use. Employees shouldn't need procurement expertise to buy something simple. But the system has to enforce policy without getting in the way. Your job is to balance those competing pulls and make it work across complex organizational structures with different approval hierarchies, regional rules, and procurement behaviors.
What you bring:
3-8 years in enterprise product, ideally B2B workflow (procurement/supply chain/platform/CPQ/ERP is an advantage) You've shipped features that actually changed how customers operate, not just incremented metrics.
Core PM craft: You can write crisp requirements, run customer discovery that surfaces real constraints (not just wishes), build prioritized roadmaps, and know when you have enough data to decide. You're comfortable with both narrative-driven strategy and metrics-driven trade-offs.
Logical rigor. You break complex systems into first principles. You can reason through dependencies (if we change X, Y breaks—is that worth it?). You know when a customer problem is architectural versus operational.Calm judgment. You think clearly under pressure. You don't confuse urgency with importance. You ask good questions before you move, but you don't get stuck in analysis. You can hold a position without being defensive about it.
Ownership mentality. You move forward on ambiguity instead of waiting for perfect information. You take initiative without needing permission.
Customer empathy + pragmatism. You understand why customer problems exist and care about solving them. You also know which ones are worth solving now and which ones aren't your problem to fix right now.
Where you belong:
You're joining a team that's expanding the buying experience portfolio. This role exists because we're moving into genuine product evolution—rethinking workflows, closing gaps, and building durable solutions for how enterprises actually buy. We are navigating a very competitive market and our shift into a company that pioneers the autonomous enterprise.
