What you’ll build

The Product Manager for Delivery Management will work closely with PM lead of Core Logistics and report to the Head of Advanced cloud logistics PM. Within the SCM solution area we are the product management team who own the product definition & strategy for SCM core logistics applications. Public cloud ERP is the central component of our Business Suite offering and we have witnessed a breathtaking growth in our customer adoption. For Gartner and other leading analysts, we rank as leaders in the product centric cloud ERP application market.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Lead with customer adoption & satisfaction at every step of the way
• Personify, live, and breathe a SaaS mindset and be a role model to other stakeholders
• Be a strong influencer across SAP and in the market
• Understand and take ownership (with your team) of customer problems and turn them into product solutions from concept through to requirements, design, and delivery, collaborating with product marketing, engineering, and other stakeholders in doing so
• Engage with customers, partners, and other stakeholders at all stages of the product lifecycle to ensure we are solving the right problems and building products our customers need
• You will be involved in a full lifecycle of product discovery, from creating insights based on feedback from partners, customers, or other stakeholders to the delivery of product and collection of insights on new feature adoption and customer satisfaction
• Working in the new Harmonized Product Operating Model
• Act as a business analyzer of customer requests, contribute to discovery results, support with the translation of them into business deliverables
• Thought leader and SPOC for key initiatives – ensuring smooth and efficient roll-out / -in with the wider PM and Engineering team

What you bring

• 8+ years of relevant work experience in the software industry, preferably in a SaaS organization with Product Management; strong CEO mindset
• Excellent people collaboration & leadership skills and ability to deal with high pressure from internal and external stakeholders
• Expertise in Logistics domain
• Excellent verbal, communication skills with the customers, partners and internal teams, as well as board/executive level presentation skills
• Strong customer focus with previous exposure to key customers, as well as partner orientation
• Understanding of how to develop a product strategy and a product roadmap based on developing strong market expertise for a topic or product area

We are responsible for defining product scenarios based on market and target customer needs and translating them into consumable product requirements for engineering teams. We work hand-in-hand with our engineering and product marketing teams, as well as with our customers and partners on continuously improving our SAP Cloud ERP product. Product Management is the authoritative voice of the legitimate challenges customers face, evangelizing an outcome-based product vision and roadmap that truly solves customer pain points by creating products that delight, yet serve the needs of SAP.

• Innovative Environment: Work with a global team of industry leading experts. Our PM team balances standardization and customer / industry demands for customization for critical business processes using SAP’s intelligent ERP system.
• Collaborative Effort: Lead product definition for the SCM core in public cloud ERP and the wider Business Suite for SCM, transforming market needs and customer problems to be solved into solutions customers want to adopt
• Customer Advocacy: Collaborate with engineering, marketing, customers, and partners to enhance the product, driving an adoption centered vision and roadmap.
