About TripIt

TripIt is SAP Concur’s consumer travel app, helping travelers reduce stress by staying organized and one step ahead so they can make the most of every trip. Our vision is simple and ambitious: to make every trip easier, for every frequent traveler.

We combine the speed, ownership, and culture of a small, independent team with the scale, infrastructure, and reach of SAP—the world’s largest provider of enterprise application software and a leader in cloud solutions. We value openness, trust, and collaboration, allowing us to build high-quality products efficiently and thoughtfully.

What you’ll build

As a Principal Product Manager for TripIt, you’ll define and drive the vision and strategy for key TripIt product areas, shaping how our core experiences and platform evolve to meet complex traveler needs and TripIt’s long-term business objectives.

You’ll lead the development of innovative, customer-centric solutions that address large-scale, high-impact challenges across web and mobile, influencing both near-term capabilities and the long-term direction of the product. Your work will directly impact customer satisfaction, engagement, and product growth, helping establish TripIt as a differentiated, scalable, and trusted travel companion in a rapidly evolving market.

This is an execution-focused leadership role: you’ll help define where we’re going, then work hands-on with your cross-functional team to get us there.

What you’ll do

  • Define and own the product vision and multi-year strategy for your TripIt product area, aligning customer needs, business objectives, and technical realities
  • Lead complex, high-impact initiatives spanning multiple platforms, systems, and teams
  • Align a cross-functional team delivering enhancements across web and mobile
  • Evaluate, prioritize, and make tough tradeoffs on architectural investments, new features, and platform improvements
  • Translate strategy into clear roadmaps, initiatives, user stories, and a well-groomed backlog
  • Solve ambiguous, business-critical problems by integrating customer insights, data, technical constraints, and company priorities
  • Partner closely with senior stakeholders across engineering, design, marketing, analytics, support, and leadership to plan, build, launch, and iterate on the right solutions
  • Develop and track key product metrics; analyze performance, learn from results, and adjust continuously
  • Incorporate customer research, feedback, performance data, and competitive analysis into product decisions
  • Influence cross-team roadmaps to ensure cohesive, scalable experiences across TripIt and SAP Concur integrations
  • Build strong relationships with customers and partners, representing the product internally and externally when needed
  • Mentor and guide other product managers, raising the bar for product thinking, execution, and collaboration across the team

This role involves close collaboration with distributed and remote teams.

What you bring

  • Extensive experience in product management or equivalent roles, owning complex product areas or platforms
  • Proven ability to define and execute product strategy and long-term vision for consumer-facing products
  • Strong experience delivering full-stack, large-scale products across web and mobile, from concept through launch and iteration
  • Track record of solving complex, ambiguous problems and making high-impact decisions at scale
  • Ability to engage deeply with engineering teams and communicate effectively about technical tradeoffs
  • Strong instincts for user experience, design quality, and customer-centric decision-making
  • Ability to balance customer value, technical feasibility, and business impact
  • Data-driven mindset with strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to clearly represent product direction to senior leaders, partners, and customers
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with ownership of initiatives end to end
  • Experience working in agile development environments and with remote or distributed teams
  • Experience in consumer travel, SaaS, mobile, or marketplace products is a strong plus
