Job Description

We help the world run better
At SAP, we keep it simple: you bring your best to us, and we'll bring out the best in you. We're builders touching over 20 industries and 80% of global commerce, and we need your unique talents to help shape what's next. The work is challenging – but it matters. You'll find a place where you can be yourself, prioritize your wellbeing, and truly belong. What's in it for you? Constant learning, skill growth, great benefits, and a team that wants you to grow and succeed.

What you’ll do

You will join the Metadata & Domain Alignment CoE at the heart of SAP. Metadata refers to structured information that describes, explains, and makes it easier to retrieve, use, or manage data.
As an Product Associate (f/m/d), you drive concrete work items that shape how metadata is defined, structured, and applied across SAP’s product landscape. You work at the intersection of product management and architecture, ensuring that topics are translated into clear deliverables and consistently executed across teams.

Your work contributes to improving how SAP solutions connect, making them easier to integrate, discover, and use at scale across the portfolio.

In this role, you will:
• Drive execution of metadata-related initiatives by breaking down topics into actionable steps and ensuring delivery end-to-end
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to align requirements with central metadata concepts and ensure follow-through on agreed outcomes
• Structure and refine complex topics into clear, documented concepts such as domain models, integration patterns, or service descriptions
• Identify misalignments across solutions and actively support their resolution together with domain experts
• Track and follow up on stakeholder discussions, decisions, and action items to maintain progress across multiple parallel topics
• Develop clear and structured materials that enable others to understand and apply metadata concepts
• Contribute to selected strategic projects by supporting implementation, validating approaches, and ensuring outcomes are realized in practice
You will work on multiple topics in parallel, often with evolving requirements, and are expected to maintain clarity, structure, and momentum across them.

What you bring

• Initial experience in product management or a related field
• Strong ability to quickly understand unfamiliar topics and turn them into structured and actionable outputs
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple topics and ensure reliable follow-through
• Strong analytical and structured thinking
• Ability to simplify complex topics and communicate them clearly
• Bias for action with a focus on delivering results rather than only contributing to discussions
• Basic understanding of business software, APIs, or data-related concepts
• Ideally, hands-on experience in development, consulting, or similar environments
• Fluent in English (German is a plus)

Meet your team

You will join the Metadata & Domain Alignment CoE under the Application Integration & Cross-Architecture unit, a central team working on cross-product topics that require alignment beyond individual applications. The team connects different areas of SAP to ensure a consistent foundation for how data and metadata are understood and used.
You will work closely with colleagues from product management and architecture, engaging with stakeholders across the organization. The team collaborates closely, approaches topics in a hands-on manner, and focuses on turning complex subjects into clear and practical outcomes.
