What you´ll do
SAP is looking to further strengthen our Core Technology Network team with a Network Monitoring and Observability expert. The position is located onsite in our Lisboa office working as part of our global team of experts. The position requires analytical skills and previous experience in a technically complex large network environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Network Monitoring and Observability Management: Assist in the implementation and maintenance of network monitoring solutions to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Solution Development: Develop and enhance network monitoring and Observability tools and processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Performance Analysis: Analyze network performance data to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for improvement.
- Documentation: Develop and update network monitoring documentation and ensure adherence to global network policies and standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with technical service owners and our managed service teams to ensure seamless network operations and continuous improvements.
What you bring
- Proficiency in network monitoring and observability tools and technologies.
- Previous exposure to network performance analysis and solution development in a technically complex environment.
- Strong understanding of network protocols and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, SNMP, NetFlow, syslog, routing, switching, wireless etc).
- Ideally you possess knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python) for automation purposes.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow is a plus.
- Exceptional communication, analytical, and collaboration skills.
- Self-motivated and adaptable to work independently across global time zones.
- Fluent English proficiency in both oral and written communication.
- Sound knowledge of IT processes and policies, leveraging both theoretical base and practical expertise for informed decisions.
