Position Overview
SAP’s Government Security and Secrecy (GS2) team is seeking a Government Security & Risk Administration Officer to join a high-performing team located in either Canberra or Melbourne. (f/m/d)
The role provides administrative and operational assistance to the DISP Chief Security Officer (CSO) and supports SAP’s obligations under the Defense Industry Security Program (DISP), and Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) personnel security requirements.
This is a hands-on security administration opportunity suited to someone organised, detail-oriented and able to work with sensitive and classified information.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support for DISP compliance, including maintaining records, security registers, and supporting audit activities.
- Assist with AGSVA security clearance administration, including applications, renewals, tracking, and record management
- Maintain security risk registers and SharePoint sites
- Assist to maintain classified information sharing management systems.
- Process personnel and facility access requests and permissions.
- Assist with onboarding/offboarding security staff and contractors.
- Maintain personnel security and clearance records in accordance with protective security requirements.
- Record incidents, maintain security reports, and escalate issues where required.
- Support contractors, visitors, and induction processes.
- Assist with periodic audits of access permissions and security records.
- Respond to routine security enquiries and provide general administrative support for the SAP AU DISP CSO.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
Essential
- Strong administration and organisational skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive and classified information.
- Ability to follow procedures and maintain accurate records.
- Exposure to DISP, PSPF, AGSVA, protective security, or security management systems is highly desirable.
- Previous administration, risk or security support experience.
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
- relevant professional qualifications are highly desirable, particularly in related disciplines including, but not limited to, Government Protective Security, Information Assurance, Information Security, and Risk Management
- Be an Australian citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Personal Security Clearance, issued by AGSVA.
