Job Description

We help the world run better
At SAP, we keep it simple: you bring your best to us, and we'll bring out the best in you. We're builders touching over 20 industries and 80% of global commerce, and we need your unique talents to help shape what's next. The work is challenging – but it matters. You'll find a place where you can be yourself, prioritize your wellbeing, and truly belong. What's in it for you? Constant learning, skill growth, great benefits, and a team that wants you to grow and succeed.

What You’ll Build

In this role, you will play a key part in driving SAP’s financial health by managing and improving the collection of trade receivables across a defined customer portfolio. Here’s what you’ll accomplish:

  • Reduce DSO and improve cash flow by driving timely invoice settlements from strategic (VIP) customers and partners across the India MU.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through proactive, regular engagement — predicting payment timelines and resolving disputes before they escalate.
  • Solve complex A/R challenges by independently investigating disputes, coordinating with internal stakeholders (Sales, CFO, Commercial Finance, Controlling), and driving timely resolutions.
  • Contribute to reporting and forecasting by updating collection notes, preparing forecasts, and participating in AR review calls with senior management.
  • Support organizational growth by training new team members, engaging third-party collection agencies when necessary, and contributing to local, regional, and global projects.

What You Bring

We’re looking for someone who combines strong financial expertise with excellent people skills. Here’s what will set you up for success:

Essential Technical Skills:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Total of 7- 10 years of professional experience
  • 5–7 years of relevant experience in cash collections or a related field
  • Solid background in Accounting and Accounts Receivables, preferably within a large enterprise

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience with SAP internal systems (FICA & FIAR)

Experience & Background:

  • Proven ability to engage with senior finance stakeholders, including CFOs and commercial finance teams
  • Familiarity with Dunning Letters, Final Demand Letters, and EHF concession and termination processes
  • Experience working in an international or cross-functional environment

Soft Skills & Mindset:

  • Strong communication skills — fluent in both written and spoken English
  • Customer-first approach with a quality-focused and results-driven attitude
  • Analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to manage competing priorities under pressure
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and a proactive "can-do" attitude

Where You Belong

This role is part of the SAP Global Cash Collections Organization — a team that sits at the intersection of finance, customer engagement, and strategic business operations.

Team Culture:

  • Collaborative and cross-functional — you’ll work closely with Sales teams, Finance leadership, and external customers on a daily basis
  • Fast-paced and accountability-driven, where initiative and problem-solving are genuinely valued

Who Thrives Here:

  • Someone who is equally comfortable analyzing numbers and having meaningful conversations with senior executives and customers
  • A self-starter who can manage stress, work independently, and deliver in short turnaround times
  • Someone who takes ownership and sees challenges as opportunities

Growth Opportunities:

  • Exposure to senior leadership (CFO, Commercial Finance, Controlling) and high-value strategic accounts
  • Participation in projects at local, regional, and global levels
  • Opportunity to mentor and train new team members
