PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

As a central part of the Customer Engagement and Adoption Organisation, the Delivery Hub is implementing end-to-end solutions with our customers by translating their aspirations into business solutions. We strengthen the relationship with our customers and strive for long-term engagements.

Within the ERP Public Cloud team, we work as a global organisation to support our customers across their full lifecycle. Our purpose is to apply knowledge to empower our customers and ecosystem to achieve their business outcomes.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

As a Senior Finance Consultant, you will guide our customers to success with their cloud transformation. The role requires deep understanding of the ERP Public Cloud business processes across functional borders, as well as a service-oriented attitude with the aim to achieve customer success.
The candidate will be at the core of the ERP Public Cloud organisation, implementing strategic services and acting as functional Subject Matter Expert across all customer deployments. The Senior Finance Consultant role is critical for our customers and SAP’s success and is accountable for the overall services and support engagement and successful delivery of the Delivery Hub’s services.
Apply subject matter and product expertise across various services including but not limited to Project Delivery, Customer Onboarding, supporting customers via Preferred Success/Success Plans, managing Escalations, supporting business development and Portfolio support activities.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Required skills:

  • Cloud mindset with focus on ensuring continuous adoption, customer success and references for ERP Public Cloud customers. Ability to articulate solution capabilities, value, and differences from other deployment options.
  • Deep product expertise and business experience with focus on SAP Finance/ Controlling/ Accounting. Knowledge of Financial Accounting processes and best practices.
  • Expertise in the configuration and implementation of Financial Accounting (FI), Controlling (CO), Profitability Analysis (COPA), Material Ledger (ML), and Asset Accounting (AA)
  • An emphasis on generalist knowledge / business experience and the ability to deep dive if required.
  • Have Finance experience or financial background in constructive discussions and conversations from a business perspective.
  • Have industry business knowledge and experience that can provide consulting to at least one industry.
  • Have problem-solving ability, such as presenting countermeasures to customers and leading them to solutions to problems.
  • Change management awareness to drive a value-based “fit to standard” delivery approach and manage expectations across the customer lifecycle.
  • Exceptional leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills. Strong ability to influence and communicate with senior executive management, clients, peers and team members.


Preferred skills

  • Responsible for high quality delivery in all assigned ERP Public Cloud engagements. Able to collaborate with stakeholders across the partner ecosystem to deliver customer success.
  • Experience in value management, positioning transformation roadmaps and in managing long-term customer engagements.
  • Manage relationships with internal and external project stakeholders to provide visibility of progress, risks and issues.
  • Close cooperation with all product and solution related teams to guide the customer as one SAP.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to manage deadline pressure, ambiguity, and change.

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • 15+ years of professional experience with demonstrated knowledge of at least one industry/ solution segment.
  • 10+ years of ERP and SAP product delivery experience
  • 10+ years customer facing experience within a consulting capacity.
  • Deep product expertise/ business experience with specific focus on SAP Finance. Strong knowledge of Financial Accounting processes and ERP Public Cloud best practices.
  • Delivery experience with SaaS cloud solutions and agile methodology (e.g. SAP Activate).
  • Knowledge of the SAP product and service portfolio including differences in deployment methodology.
  • SAP Finance & Accounting Solution Architect design experience a plus.
