About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our SPM (Sales Performance Management) Data Management products and teams. In this pivotal role, you will manage a talented group of Full Stack and Database developers responsible for the entire SPM data ecosystem—from data import/export capabilities to strategic integrations with SAP Business Data Cloud and other SAP systems.

What You’ll Do


Lead and Develop a High-Performing Team: Manage, mentor, and grow a team of Full Stack and Database developers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
Drive Technical Strategy: Define and execute the technical roadmap for SPM data products, ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals and SAP’s strategic direction
Own the Data Lifecycle: Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of data import/export solutions and integration pipelines that power SPM applications
Enable SAP Business Data Cloud Integration: Champion the integration strategy between SPM products and SAP Business Data Cloud, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability across the SAP ecosystem
Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with Product Management, Architecture, QA,and other engineering teams to deliver high-quality, scalable data solutions
Ensure Operational Excellence: Establish best practices for code quality, system reliability, performance optimization, and data integrity
Manage Delivery: Plan sprints, manage priorities, remove blockers, and ensure timely delivery of features and enhancements
Recruit and Retain Talent: Participate in hiring efforts to build and expand the team with top-tier engineering talent

What You Bring


Experience & Leadership
• 5+ years of software engineering experience with at least 2+ years in an engineering management or technical leadership role
• Proven track record of building, mentoring, and scaling high-performing engineering teams
• Experience managing teams with diverse skill sets (Full Stack, Backend, Database)


Technical Expertise
• Strong understanding of Full Stack development principles and modern web technologies
• Deep knowledge of database technologies, data modeling, and performance optimization (SQL, NoSQL, or both)
• Experience with data integration patterns, ETL/ELT processes, and API design
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and services (SAP BTP, AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Understanding of enterprise application integration and data exchange standards
• Experience or strong interest in applying AI to data processing tasks such as intelligent data mapping, anomaly detection, data validation, or automated transformations
• Awareness of AI-powered developer tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, AI-assisted code review) and their potential to enhance team productivity
• Ability to evaluate AI solutions critically, understanding both capabilities and limitations

Domain Knowledge (Preferred)
• Experience with SAP products, SAP Business Data Cloud, or enterprise data platforms
• Exposure to Sales Performance Management, incentive compensation, or related business domains

Soft Skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a data-driven approach to decision-making
• Ability to balance technical excellence with pragmatic delivery
• Collaborative mindset with experience working in agile, cross-functional environments
