Job Description

We help the world run better
At SAP, we keep it simple: you bring your best to us, and we'll bring out the best in you. We're builders touching over 20 industries and 80% of global commerce, and we need your unique talents to help shape what's next. The work is challenging – but it matters. You'll find a place where you can be yourself, prioritize your wellbeing, and truly belong. What's in it for you? Constant learning, skill growth, great benefits, and a team that wants you to grow and succeed.

SAP Concur, the market leader in integrated travel, expense, and invoice management, has embarked on a journey to reimagine business travel and expenses. In an industry that is becoming increasingly complex with suppliers launching new differentiated product bundles and rich merchandising offers, we have the opportunity to completely rethink the end-to-end experience. We are building our next-generation Online Booking and Expense Management Tool from the ground up, using new technologies to guide business travelers and help them make informed decisions while assisting companies in meeting their objectives regarding policy compliance and budget control.

We're looking for a Engineering Manager who's passionate about building great software and great teams. You'll own the delivery of key products and services, guide a team of talented engineers, and work closely with stakeholders across the business to turn ambitious ideas into reliable, scalable solutions. You'll be close enough to the code to make sharp technical decisions, but your real impact will come from empowering your team to do their best work.

Join us as an Engineering Manager leading a full‑stack team that power the SAP Concur platform, working in a hybrid model in São Leopoldo, Brazil.

What you bring

  • Proven leadership experience guiding backend or full‑stack engineering teams toward impactful delivery.
  • A solid engineering foundation — you've built and shipped software professionally and can engage meaningfully in technical discussions and code reviews
  • A track record of delivering results — you know how to plan, execute, and course-correct when things don't go as expected (and they won't)
  • Excellent people skills — you genuinely care about your team's growth, wellbeing, and career progression
  • Strong communication skills — you can explain a complex system to an executive and a business constraint to an engineer with equal clarity
  • Experience with Agile/Lean methodologies — not as a dogma, but as practical tools to help teams move fast and stay aligned
  • A bias for action and continuous improvement — you're not satisfied with "good enough" and you're always looking for ways to make things better.
  • Ability to coach, mentor, and grow engineers, fostering a high‑trust and high‑performance environment.
  • Strength in problem solving, decision‑making, and tackling complex technical challenges.

What you’ll build (and why it matters)

  • Lead and grow a team of software engineers — hire, coach, mentor, and create an environment where people thrive and do career-defining work
  • Own delivery end-to-end — from roadmap planning and sprint execution through to production release and operational excellence
  • Partner with Product, Design, and stakeholders to translate business needs into clear technical strategies and actionable plans
  • Technical leadership across multiple services and teams — ensuring architecture, quality, and scalability standards stay consistent and future‑ready.Raise the bar on engineering practices — champion code quality, testing, CI/CD, observability, and security as first-class concerns
  • Cross‑team alignment on priorities and roadmaps — enabling smoother delivery and faster customer impact through clear communication and prioritization.
  • A strong engineering culture — shaping how teams collaborate, solve problems, and build products that scale globally.
  • Communicate with clarity and transparency — keep leadership informed, set expectations, and celebrate wins

Where you belong

  • A diverse, inclusive culture that values different perspectives and shared learning.
  • A hybrid work environment offering flexibility with meaningful in‑person collaboration.
  • Cross‑cultural, global teams that support curiosity, professional growth, and collective problem‑solving.
